Each room is characterized by a unique style, different from the styles of the other rooms. We will also admire the Florentine room, where we will breathe a typically Italian and Renaissance atmosphere.
Bran Castle (Dracula's Castle)
Visit the famous Bran castle. Also called Dracula`s Castle, it is situated not far from Brasov (25 kilometres) at the entrance in the Bran – Rucar passage. The castle got its fame from Dracula`s legend written in 1897 by Bram Stoker and later on made into a film by Francis Ford Coppola.. The first documents about the Bran Castle appeared in 1377. Along the history, the Castle had a strategic mission being the border between Transylvania and Wallachia. First it was under the rule of the King of Hungary Sigismund of Luxemburg, than under the Romanian voievodes Mircea cel Batran and Vlad Tepes and later on it came under the jurisdiction of the City of Brasov. In 1912 it was donated by the municipality of Brasov to the romanian royal family, in order to became their residence.
Brasov
We will continue towards to Brasov where you will have free time to enjoy the old town . Dating from 1520, the City Council Square has been considered the centre of Brasov for hundreds of years. Merchants and craftmen fairs took place here. They came from Transylvania, Wallachia, and even the Near East andEurope. According to the types of merchandise they traded on the side streets of this Square, the streets were called The Wheat Fair, The Cloth Row, The Butnar Fair, The Linen Fair, The Cotton Row or The Coats Fair. The Square is surrounded by houses built in the Renaissance, Baroque, Provincial and Neo-classic style and they once sheltered small shops and warehouses. The Square is dominated by the magnificent building called the Council Hall. The medieval fortress of Brasov was one of the most secure fortresses inEurope, the architectural defence pile being made of stone walls, 32 defence towers, 8 bulwarks and 4 fortified gates. The towers had both defence and observation roles. During our tour we’ll see the old wall which it is still preserved, Black and White Towers and also the Weaver’s Bastion – the biggest and best preserved bastion. Ecaterina`s Gate situated near the Schei Gate in the western part of the Fortress was built in 1559 in the Renaissance style. It has a sharp tower and four little towers, symbolizing the medieval right of life and death over the vassals lives (the right of the broadsword). The gate also had firing vents, a drawbridge with chains, being one of the most fortified gates of the city.

I had a limited time in Bucharest and was keen to visit the Transylvania region with all the towns and castles. The two days trip was a compacted version of the usual three days trip with all the stops. Trip was organized by our driver/guide Narcis who did a marvelous job to present the historical, cultural aspects of the local places in a well spoken English. We had a really good time on this trip and definitely would use this travel agency again for other Romanian trips if the opportunity presents itself in the future. I personally would like to thank Narcis for organizing and presenting this trip. Thank you and see you soon!

Fantastic tour into Transylvania, learned a lot of history of the area, Romania as a whole, and of course Vlad the Impaler aka Dracula. Packed itinerary making the most of the two days. Matthias was an excellent guide, very knowledge, courteous, and focused on maximizing our experience including altering the route back to Bucharest driving the Transfagarasan Highway with amazing views and encounters with brown bears.

Best decision I made in Romania, as I only had a limited amount of time and this tour allowed me to see the Transylvanian highlights. The guide was incredibly professional and knowledgeable. At every stop he explained in detail the history of the location and then gave more then enough free time to enjoy each stop at your leisure. I enjoyed every minute of this tour and found the driving through the countryside to be both relaxing and explorative.

This jam-packed two-day adventure through Transylvania was amazing. Our guide, Micai, is extremely knowledgeable about the area and sights, and ensured that we saw the best of each location. On day 1, we visited two monasteries, the town of Sibiu, and ended in the town of Sighisoara. One of the highlights was definitely having dinner that night in the house where Vlad Tepes Vlad the Impaler was born. The hotel we stayed at was very comfortable and had wonderful medieval charm. On day 2, we took a short walk around Sighisoara, then got back in the car and went to the towns of Brasov and Bran. In Brasov we walked all over, seeing the cathedral, main square, and castle walls, and in Bran we got to walk through Bran Castle which is just stunning. Our last stop was Peles Castle, where Micai told us a lot of information about the castle and the artifacts inside. That castle is also not to be missed it is breathtaking inside. All in all we had an amazing time, were right on schedule, and got to see a lot. We also had lots of fun chatting with Micai during the drives, learning more about Romanian culture and history and stopping for awesome coffee!. Those two days are packed with so many wonderful sights to see that this trip is TOTALLY worth it!
