Tianzi Mountain-Yuanjiajie-Hallelujah Mountain-Bailong Elevator
Tianzi Mountain
In the morning, you will be picked up at the hotels with in downtown area in Zhangjiajie city. Today’s first stop is Tianzi Mountain. You can’t beat the views at this 21 square miles of the mountain landscape. It continuously wow visitors with tower-like peaks rising up abruptly from the tree-covered ground. If you are lucky, you will encounter the wonder of clouds sea after the rain is clear.
Then get to Yuanjiajie Scenic Area. This is the most popular spot in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, and also the inspiration of the Hallelujah Mountain in the super famous movie Avatar. Bailong Elevator, the highest and heaviest elevator in the world, will take you up to Yuanjiajie in only 1 minute and 58 seconds. As you get off the elevator, a huge piece of “landscape painting” by nature will be unfolded in front of you. The massive quartz-sandstone pillars are just towering next to you .
Golden Whip Brook
Golden Whip Stream winds like a jade ribbon through Zhangjiajie's towering sandstone pillars. Walking its shaded path, you're surrounded by crystal-clear water, lush greenery, and playful monkeys—a true immersion in a natural masterpiece.
Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon - Glass Bridge-Tianmen Mountain-Zhangjiajie Departure
The Grand Canyon of Zhangjiajie
After breakfast, drive 40 minutes to the Grand Canyon where the dense trees, plunging waterfalls, and mist on the stream, cliffs, and caves create a landscape like no other. The Glass Bridge, the biggest highlight here, is suspended between two cliffs of the canyon. Walking along the bridge is a terrifying experience but worthwhile for the panoramic view of the entire Grand Canyon.
Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park
Then head to Tianmen Mountain. The world’s longest cable car will take you to the top of the mountain. On arrival at the mountain top, you will visit the Tianmen Temple dating from Ming Dynasty. Then get a chance to take a walk on the glass skywalk built by transparent glass against the cliffs. Follow your guide to the Tianmen Cave (Heaven's door cave). It is actually a natural stone archway that is 131.5 meters high and 57 meters wide and will take about 0.5 hours to walk through. Later, along the 99-bend Road (a mountain road with wonderful scenery on either side), a shuttle bus will take you down to the mountain foot.
Zhangjiajie
After the tour, we can drop you off at Zhangjiajie airport or train station (Please book the flight/train departure after 19:00pm); or you can optionally visit the 72 Tower in the evening if you don't leave by flight/train today and have interest, the entrance tickets would be paid by yourself on site.

The level of detail, thoughtful planning, and cultural insights reflected in the schedule are truly impressive. Lenna (ChinaXi’an Tour)promptly addressed my requests, ensuring a smooth planning process. From logistics to local experiences, she struck the perfect balance between efficiency and enrichment. It’s clear that a lot of care went into making the itinerary both engaging and seamless for our tour. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in China. I also appreciate the two local guides, Doris DingJie and Yaeger, for their dedication in sharing local cultures with us. They did an excellent job explaining the history and culture, which greatly inspired us to learn more about China. They also extended their service in recommending the different type of local dishes and food. I get to try many and they are all very delicious. Both tour guides are more like friends and i believe that’s what tourist would have wanted. I wanna thank them for their professionalism and dedication towards the job. 5.00Bruce was the best tour guide anyone could ask for. We contacted other agencies and all of them told us it was not possible to do ZhangJiaJie in two days and tried to upsell us on every little item and activity. Bruce was extremely knowledgeable, answered all of our questions, and shared all the perfect photo spots that had minimal tourists groups around for perfect photos! He even helped us make reservations for dinner and book transportation to the train station the day of our departure. If every vacation had a tour guide like Bruce it would be very efficient!

5.00This was an incredible, amazing experience from the very beginning. Kelly was our agent and she worked diligently to create an itinerary that met our needs, despite the complications of 12hr time zone difference and holidays. Everything she set up worked perfectly. Michael, our your guide, was perfect! Great knowledge, excellent pace, and he went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. Loved that he always provided us options to reduce wait times, whenever there was an available alternate. I highly recommend this service.

Also I really recommend Joy Travel & China Xian Tour as they were really helpful to tailor the the trip to our wants and need and organize it from abroad! I recommend 100%

5.00Ashley was super accommodatng, funny, adventurous, and engaging. She helped us find many great activities beyond the basic package to meet our thrill seeking and entertainment needs. She has a delightful personality and made our experience really memorable. Be sure to ask about evening shows, and the bungee jumping and cliff climbing. She faced her fears and took photos of us on the side of the cliff. She's a brave superstar!

5.00It was one of my most memorable trip. ZhangJiaJie is the fairy land! Our guide, 卢震, has been most attentive and explained thoroughly to us. Our tour is 5 days and includes visit to "Sky Kingdom", 天門山 and 2 other ancient cities. I particularly like FengHuangGuCheng, 鳳凰古城. At the end of the day, with the guidance of 卢震 made our trip exciting and memorable. Thank you to Sophia of Joy Travel also. Thank you all!

5.00Weather not in our favour however still a great experience. We seamlessly moved through the complexities of navigating a variety of transport methods, car, bus, cablecars to see the best features of the Zhangjiajie area, all ably led by our delightful guide Ronan Hugo. Ronan gave us a lot of information and was very attentive to our needs. Our travel arrangements had been managed by Joy Travel. So much more to explore if time allowed.
