Drive or walk your way towards The View Hotel Premium Cabins and at the end of the road is a path leading to our horse stable. When you arrive at the Sacred Monument Tours Horse Stable location, you’ll meet your Navajo guide, sign a waiver and receive a safety briefing.
West And East Mitten Buttes
We’ll begin our journey with a scenic ride to The Mittens, also known as the West and East Mitten Buttes. Enjoy stunning views and learn about the geological significance of these iconic landmarks. When viewed from the south, the buttes appear to be two gigantic mittens with their thumbs facing inwards.

5.00Although the meeting point was a bit unclear (tip: put a sign there that you have to drive on to the cottage), the drive through Monument Valley was a great experience. Zeke, our guide, told us all about the rock formations and always took the time to take pictures. We ride horses very occasionally and enjoyed the narrow paths. Sometimes it got exciting, but never dangerous.

5.00Our horseback tour through Monument Valley was the highlight of our trip. There’s something so surreal about being right up against the red rocks instead of just looking at them from a car window. Our guide was also fantastic. He didn't just give us facts; he shared personal stories about Navajo culture and what this land means to them. The horses were incredibly sweet, the pace was nice and relaxed, and the views were just unbeatable. Five stars doesn't even do it justice!

5.00I surprised my wife with a 2hr horseback tour. We were greeted by Nelson who was very kind and knowledgeable about the horses and the area. The views and the experience were stunning to say the least. Couldn’t be happier with how this turned out. Thank you Nelson and Sacred Monument Tours! We will be back!

5.00The guide was excellent and, along with Monument Valley, provided a great experience. This was my first time riding a horse. The guide had some gentle ones picked for the group. Be aware Monument Valley is by no means flat, so you will be ascending and descending while on the horse.

5.00What a wonderful ride! The scenery was spectacular and we traversed some interesting terrain as we got closer to the huge land formations. Our horses were sweet and kind and took great care of us along with our guide, who was an excellent horseman.
