Dam Square
It was created in the 13th century when a dam was built around the river Amstel to prevent the Zuiderzee sea from flooding the city. During the sixties, the square was renowned for its Dam Square hippies. These days it is one of the main tourist sights and expect lots of entertainment. And pigeons. In spring, there may be a carnival on or you can have a go on the colourful ferris wheel. In the summer months, mimers and other street performers come out to surprise unexpected onlookers.
Red Light District
It is very likely that you have heard about this neighbourhood and to be frank, everything you have heard is probably true. From brothels to sex shops to museums, the Amsterdam Red Light District has it all. But contrary to what a lot of people might think, the Amsterdam Red Light District has a very friendly atmosphere and isn't as dangerous as it used to be.

5.00Very clean Rickshaw with protection from rain/winds. Arrived early at our pickup hotel. An excellent way to get your bearings in a medium size city with lots to see. Rickshaw can go everywhere other vehicles can't. Knowledgeable and friendly English speaking guide. Dropped us off wherever we wanted afterwards.

5.00He was fantastic!! Took us all over the city and went anywhere we asked. Great overview and chance to see so many places. Even came right to our hotel to pick us up. And dropped us off near museums so we could continue touring. Very easy to understand.

5.00Excellent experience. Lampros was friendly and very knowledgeable . Really appreciated that he stopped and got off the bike to explain things instead of trying to talk to us while driving. He stopped when requested so we could take a picture. We really enjoyed our tour and highly reccommend him.

5.00We did a 2hr tour and saw so much of the City! Plus, our guide was quite knowledgeable & gave us lots of information about Amsterdam. It was so much fun to get the experience of riding a bike without having to do any peddling! Also, he picked us up at the Anne Frank House (right after our time there) and dropped us off at our hotel. Great service, great tour & we totally enjoyed every minute!

5.00A great way to see Amsterdam if time is limited, or gain an overview of the sites attractions you would like to visit. The driver, and forgive me I forget his name, was most knowledgeable about the city, was considerate at all times, stopping for photo stops, ensuring our safety in the busy city, and accommodating our requests to see various sites, even returning us close to the cruise terminal.

5.00Lamdro was an excellent ambassador! He delivered what we wanted—-a relaxing ride all over Amsterdam, pointing out various interesting highlights along the way. We stopped for a couple photo op’s and were then on our way. If relaxation is what you want, book him!
