Explore the stunning natural environment from your kayak of this scenic bay on the Wild Atlantic Way at the foot of Errisbeg mountain. Your knowledgeable local guide will tell you about the local area as you kayak safely across the bay. For the more experienced kayakers enjoy kayaking over to deserted Inishlacken island with your guide. See the abandoned ruins and houses on this unique island, famed for its yearly artist retreat and fascinating local history. Take in the beautiful vistas of the surrounding rugged land and seascapes before returning to the harbour of the beautiful white strand of Gurteen bay.

Our wonderful guide, Ciara, was a fantastic instructor who clearly explained how to use the equipment and made sure everyone in our group understood what we would be doing and how to do it safely. She led us across the bay to a tiny island, where she explained the fascinating history of its former inhabitants- a real treat for our family of history buffs. We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon, and I highly recommend the experience to anyone.

We had a great time. Our guide Ciara was wonderful and brought us over to an island were the kids collected shells, we tried seaweed and gave us a good overview of our surroundings which were breathtaking. I would definitely recommend it and will be booking our next excursion for this summer.
