  nice service for transportation from Kota Kinabalu to Kinabalu Park Accommodation for the first night in Hill Lodge is excellent and dinner is fine First day climb is a bit tough for the last two km but the mountain guide is very considerate, he carried my 2 kg backpack for me. Accommodation for the second night is clean and tidy On the third, start climbing to summit and glad to see the first daylight. Then go downhill and have lunch before transfer back to Kota Kinabalu An unforgettable experience

  Booked this 3D2N Mt Kinabalu hiking with Borneo Calling. Everything went well from booking till the end of the entire hike. The hike was amazing and everything effort and sweat is worth it. The tour guide, mountain guide and agent were very professional. The only drawback was the government hostel at panalaban which does not provide heater (for shower) though they have informed earlier but I did not expect the water to be icy cold. The room is extremely cold so as the bed as well. Good overall experience and would highly recommend.

  Booked this trip in a rush, 1 day before the climb. But everything went smoothly because of very helpful and quick response management. The best about my trip is my mountain guide Mr Harris, he’s very experienced and encouraging throughout the climb. He will tell stories and always walk on my back taking care of me all the time.

  Great arrangement of the tour! From the pickup to the finish of the tour, as a solo female traveller, at no point I felt unsafe or worried about my health. FREENDY, my mountain guide was very kind and patient when I walked slowly and also offered to help carry my things on the second day when I was really exhausted and unable to walk.   It was an unforgettable experience climbing Mount Kinabalu! We were very fortunate to have mostly clear weather during our ascent — just a few short showers here and there, but overall, it was dry and pleasant. Our guide was incredibly helpful, patient, and encouraging throughout the climb. He even doubled up as our porter since there weren’t enough available that day — mad respect to him for carrying a 10kg load up the mountain! He also took great photos for us and guided me carefully when the terrain got tricky near the summit. A few tips for future climbers: Bring a fleece jacket or something warm — the temperature near the summit can get really cold. If you’re prone to altitude sickness, consider taking preventive pills and walk in a zigzag pattern to ease the symptoms. Hiking poles are a great help for balance and support, especially on the descent. Overall, it was a manageable yet rewarding climb — an experience I’ll never forget!

  The drivers we had were very helpful and accommodating. Our guide on the mountain was great and he really knew the timing we’d need to make it to the summit for sunrise and then make it to the lows circuit via ferrata. It’s a tough hike but a worthwhile experience!

  Day 1 | Sightseeing + Food Tours 👍 Traditional grilled meat, leafy dishes can be tasted, and you can also visit DESA cattle farms and traditional markets 😛 The meal is self-sufficient, the driver takes us to Puteri Nabalu restaurant for a meal, taste ratings are two-polar, personal advice is not related to fish... Approximately 3 to 4 p.m. arrive at Office Park to fill in and check in. It's a bit unfortunate that when we arrived we just encountered a lot of rain, and we couldn't walk to the Botanical Garden. 😋 The breakfast dinner in the restaurant is buffet, the buffet is super rich, delicious to sin 😍 👍 The waitress closes the table too fast👍 Breakfast is even more luxurious: now cooking Laksa, omelette eggs, teas, etc. Eating this way before climbing the mountain is really evil, it feels like the next day to go up the mountain with more than 3 kg of weight 🙂 ⸻ Day 2 | See the Mountain Guide Freendy ✨ The next day I met with the guide (can only communicate in English), although it is only English at the level of elementary school, but it is possible to communicate smoothly thanks to the hand painting 🙂 Very kind, with questions and answers, the overall atmosphere is easy and not nervous ~ ✨ Mobile food is also abundant + high calories (sandwiches, 2 water-cooked eggs, silicon chocolate, oreo cake, banana), basically you can not bring too many snacks up the mountain 👍 ✨ About 4-5k there are plenty of pig cage to enjoy. Upon arrival at the hillhouse, the guide will inform us of the next free activity time and will not pick us up again until 2:30 the next morning. ✨ The staff will provide hot towels and a small cup of hot tea, the room will only have electricity after 4:00. The cushion is a carpet, if you are afraid of cold, you need to prepare a jacket. ✨ Limited name postcard can be written and sent ~ RM4 + RM1 postcard. ✨ In the evening there are many stars to enjoy (if you can't sleep) ⸻ Day 3 | Top Day Whether the top is open will be decided between 10 a.m. and the early morning. If the rainy mountain road will be very wet and hard to walk, you can understand why to cover the top, because rolling down may be a few meters down the road, also be sure to prepare 3M stop glove grip rope to be strong enough. ❤️ My guide Freendy is very careful, always warns you in advance "there will be a slide", and will also actively help in more dangerous places, so that you feel very comfortable 🙂 ⸻ 💡 Small recommendations Hopefully future shuttle drivers and Office counters will be able to provide important instructions in multiple languages so that climbers from different countries can read and prepare more easily. Overall great.
