Fort Good Hope

We make a trip to Fort Good Hope to learn the history about the triangular fort. The Dutch entered into a long-standing relationship with the Agona State to build a permanent fort at Beraku. The Dutch accepted the invitation because of the prospect of a trade boom in gold, ivory and slaves emanating from the Akyem kingdom located in the hinterland beyond Agona, and also because private traders were taking advantage of the absence of any Dutch forts in the area between Accra and Apam.

Fort Amsterdam

From Breku we travel to Fort Amsterdam, a World Heritage Site is a fort in Kormantin, Central region, Ghana. It was built by the English between 1638 and 1645 as Fort Cormantin or Fort Courmantyne, and was captured by admiral Michiel de Ruyter of the Dutch West India Company in 1665.

Cape Coast Castle

We will visit the awe-inspiring Cape Coast Castle. You’ll be met by the local guides, and taken on a tour you’ll never forget. After learning the history, the guides will set you free to explore everything from the grim dark dungeons to the magnificent cannon lined catwalks

After touring the awe-inspiring cape coast castle. We will visit Fort Victoria formerly known as ‘Phipp’s Tower’, in honour of its initial constructor English Governor Phipps. It was later renamed Fort Victoria after Queen Victoria of Great Britain.

Elmina Castle

We'll head to Elmina Castle to learn the history of the castle. At the castle you’ll once again be met by the local guides who will take you on another incredible tour! After the tour, you’ll once again have time to explore on your own.

Fort St Jago

Fort St. Jago is opposite the castle on a hill. We will drive to the fort and we will be met by a guide to take us on a special tour Before heading to Kumasi.

Assin Manso Ancestral Slave River Park

We will make a stop at Assin Manso Slave River. Assin Manso was the final link in the slavery route from northern Ghana, and it was known to have been the largest slave market for merchants before taken them to Cape Coast Slave Castle

Manhyia Palace Museum

We will make a trip to the Manhyia Palace. The Manhyia Palace is the home of the Asantehene, the absolute monarch of the Ashanti kingdom. At the palace you’ll get the opportunity to learn first-hand about the Ashanti’s epic history.

Okomfo Anokye Sword Site

After learning about the history of the Ashanti kingdom we will visit the Okomfo Anokye Sword site where we will be met by a guide to learn the history of the mysterious sword and its significance in the Ashanti kingdom.
