This is a journey packed with many of Scotland’s most iconic sights and scenery, as well as the chance to visit one of the most picturesque sights in Scotland, Eilean Donan Castle.

Suitable for all physical fitness levels
Children under 5 years old, including infants who do not require a seat, are not permitted to travel. We are unable to accommodate any child under the age of 5.
Each traveller is allowed a maximum of 1 suitcase weighing no more than 33lbs (15kg) and 1 carry-on bag.
Collapsible wheelchairs with removable wheels can be accommodated providing the passenger is accompanied by someone who can assist them to board and disembark
During April and October, this tour returns to Edinburgh at 8pm.
It is recommended to book transport to the departure point in advance. Please also allow extra time to get to the departure point for check-in. We advise you arrive at least 15 minutes before the tour departure to allow time to check-in for the tour. Unfortunately, we are unable to hold the bus or refund for any late arrivals.
The order of the itinerary route is subject to change.
Return times are approximate and subject to road conditions and weather. Please ensure you allocate sufficient time for any onward travel plans, allowing at least 3 hours after the scheduled return time for connections or activities.
Due to vehicle availability, there may be instances where this tour runs on a bigger bus.

5.00We recently did a 3-day Highlands and Isle of Skye tour from Edinburgh, staying two nights in Portree, and the experience was made unforgettable thanks to our guide and driver, Sophie. Sophie was an excellent guide and driver, and a big reason this Highlands and Isle of Skye trip was so enjoyable. She was kind, good-natured, and had a great sense of humour, which made the journey relaxed and fun. Her stories, folklore, and anecdotes really brought the places we visited to life. The itinerary was very well planned, with stunning landscapes and two nights on the Isle of Skye, so it never felt rushed.

4.00A really great trip to get a glimpse of the highlands and Isle of Skye. Pur guide, Sophie was really great and made the tour even more memorable and interesting! I would particularly if you want to see as much as possible, get the history, mythology and stories. If you are looking for more intense hikes this might not be for you as a lot of time was spent traveling and viewing amazing nature from the bus with stops every now and then to take photos and explore a bit.

5.00I love this trip so much, our tour guide Rich made it 10x better. He was super friendly, explain to us about the history and told us the stories as well to make it interesting. The weather was not on our side so Rich had to change up the trip plan a bit to make sure we had fun! Some extra stops were added as well, as requested by some of us. Totally recommend!! I’ll make sure to recommend this to my friends as well.

5.00Ali P is an absolute champ! Two days of our 3-day trip, the rain just wouldn't let up. Ali did a fantastic job coming up with itineraries for the day despite the weather condition. She made sure we get the most out of our tour. Me and my brother enjoyed it immensely. Also, Ali's commentaries were equally informative, entertaining and funny. It was a joy to listen to!

5.00We had a wonderful time on the Isle of Skye Highland tour with Ali P as our guide! My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed the wealth of knowledge Ali shared. She kept the tour fun even in the rain and did a fantastic job adapting to the weather while tailoring the experience to our group’s interests. We would highly recommend the team at Highland Explorer Tours, the customer service was excellent, and they answered my questions quickly via the support chat, always with a personal touch. Ali not only had incredible knowledge, but you could also tell how much she genuinely cared about ensuring we had a great time, as well as about the Scottish countryside and the communities we visited. 5.00Such an incredible time and Ali P was an incredible guide who knew not only the popular culture of Scotland but also the funny little niche facts you remember most. The experience itself was a 10/10 would do it again if back in Scotland!

5.00Absolutely loved the tour! Saw the most amazing places and cutest little towns and even some highland coos. Dusty was an absolute legend gave us plenty of funny and historical stories and plenty of choice with our tour and where we wanted to go and see - got all our items ticked off the bucket list! You can tell Dusty loves his job and did the most to keep us entertained - especially with his Scottish music playlist of course.
