On arrival at the airport your will be met by your safari guide who will drive you straight to the Uganda, Rwanda border of Cyanika/Katuna. In the process you will traverse the lush country side dotted with undulating hills that have qualified Rwanda as a land of a thousand hills and arriving in Bwindi in afternoon check in you’ Lodge later go for Batwa Cultural trail, You will go through their villages to have an experience of how they go about their daily routine activities and be amazed by the way they skillfully cultivate the hill sides and how they care for their animals (cows) that are a prime source of pride. Dinner and overnight at Tourland Cottages/Broadbill Forest Camp

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
You will have an early breakfast and be driven to the Park Headquarters for a briefing about what to do and not do while on a Gorilla trek. After the briefing, you will set for the trekking in very thick vegetation. Trekking gorillas in Bwindi- Uganda is quite challenging as it involves moving over rugged terrain of steep slopes and valleys. The jungle is very lively with rich forest sounds. The trek ranges between 2 – 8 hours and you have one hour to stay with the Gorillas once sited. Come back to Tourland Cottages/Broadbill Forest Camp for the dinner and overnight
Transfer back to Kigali Airport

In the morning after breakfast drive to Lake Bunyonyi, This lake is said to be one of the most beautiful places in western Uganda. It is the second deepest lake in Africa [900 meters deep] and also one of the few places in the country where it is considered safe to swim as it is bilharzias free. You will take a boat/Canoe on this lake, before we head to boarder to cross to Rwanda you will drive to Kigali to catch your evening departure flight.

5.00I went for a 3-day Gorilla Hiking experience and it was a once in a lifetime experience. The whole process was very straightforward, Ruth was there the whole time to present me the quotes and answer my questions promptly. I was picked up on time in Kigali by Ronnie, the driver who helped a lot in answering all the questions I had along the way. They respected the quote 100%, so you really pay for what are being offered. Everything is so well organized, beginning with the crossing from Rwanda to Uganda, to the Batwa experience, to the Golden Monkey trekking and of course to the Gorilla trekking. I could not be any happier for having made my journey around Rwanda and Uganda with them. I recommend East Africa Jungle Safari 100%. Don’t have a negative comment or even a suggestion to make. They sticked to their word and I really appreciate it. So thank you very much to all the EAJS team members, you allowed me to have a once in a lifetime experience I will never forget.

5.00Our Ugandan Gorilla tracking trip with East African Jungle Safaris was absolutely mind blowing! We trekked for just under an hour and then spent a further hour with these magnificent creature’s. We also spent time on Lake Bunyonyi which was magical. Our guide for our three day trip was Ronnie who is a great guy, and an excellent driver and guide. As two female friends travelling together we always felt safe with Ronnie and he imparted so much knowledge. We would recommend Ronnie 100%!

5.00We are experienced world travellers( having travelled to 75 countries, all 7 continents) so we look for excellent service from tour operators when we travel. This month, we traveled to Rwanda & Uganda over 3 days with East African Jungle Safaris & had an excellent time. Our guide Farouk was waiting for us upon arrival at Kigali airport & seamlessly guided us through the next few days. We visited the Genocide museum in Kigali, did the Gorilla trek in Bwindi & visited Lake Bunyoni for a very relaxed stay, at the end of our trip. Farouk was an excellent guide, navigating us through customs & border control between Rwanda & Uganda, making sure we reached everywhere on time & sharing his insights about the 2 countries as we drove along. All the accommodations were excellent, the meals very tasty & the Gorilla trek was an experience we will always remember & cherish. Everything was seamlessly planned & executed. Thanks to East African Jungle Safari & Farouk for guiding us through an excellent, memorable trip.

Amazing 3 day trip to Bwindi and Bunyonyi from Kigali

5.00I had an amazing 3 day trip to Bwindi and Lake Bunyonyi with East African Jungle Safaris. Special thanks to my guide Ronald for the opportunity to stop for bird watching on the way to our destinations. On the first day I was picked up by Ronald from my hotel in Kigali and we headed to Uganda. On the way we did a lot of stops to enjoy the beautiful sceneries. The first accommodation (small private wooden house) in a small village in Bwindi had an amazing view on the forest. In the evening I did a cultural walk through the village. Next days in the morning we headed to our mail activity, Gorilla trekking. Don’t forget a mask (it’s a permanent requirement regardless of Covid), gloves and long socks to protect you from ants (which bite painfully). As we were lucky to find gorillas quite fast, we could arrive to Bunyonyi in the early afternoon so that I could do the kayaking on the same day. Bunyonyi is a very underestimated place with great views, flowers, birds. Don’t skip it if you go to Bwindi. On the last day after late breakfast we went to Kigali with a few stops for birds watching.
