Travelling to Murchison falls National Park makes one modest. You see what a tiny place you occupy in the world, we usher you into different activities like game drives to spot at a number of beautiful wildlife species like the Lions, Antelopes like the Jackson's heart beasts, water bucks, warthogs, elephants, giraffes, among others, then hiking to the top of the falls and finally a great, memorable and unforgettable 3 hours boat ride experience on the Nile River to critically observe and hear the sounds of the falling waters of the Murchison falls.

Murchison Falls
A hike at the top of Murchison Falls, gives you a majestic awe at the Nile forcing its way through a gap in the rocks, gushing down in a rambling melody, only 7 metres (23 ft) wide, and tumbles 43 metres (141 ft), before flowing westward into Lake Albert. The outlet of Lake Victoria sends around 300 cubic meters per second (11,000 ft³/s) of water over the falls, squeezed into a gorge less than ten metres (30 ft) wide.

Nile Delta Cruises - Murchison Falls
This stretch of the Victoria Nile provides one of Uganda's most remarkable wildlife spectacles. Regular visitors to the riverbanks include elephants, giraffes and buffaloes; while hippos, Nile crocodiles and aquatic birds are permanent residents.

Murchison Falls National Park
Wake up early morning and get prepared for another game drive through the park. Expecting to increase your game count and spot more other wildlife. At around 11:00 am, check out the hotel and drive to Masindi town for lunch at either Masindi Hotel or Court View Hotel, then embark on the journey to return back to Kampala / Entebbe international airport or preferred destination

Paraa Safari lodge: The lodge is located north of the park and on the edge of the river Nile with great views of the park and wildlife.
Rhino tracking: This is an optional activity and can be added onto the package at 50USD per person.

Kampala via Masindi: This goes through Kampala, Luwero, Masindi and finally to the Murchison falls National Park.
Jeep: Depending on the number, but we use a 4by4 open roof safari jeep also known as a landcruiser.

5.00We had an amazing experience. Our guide Eddie was extremely knowledgeable about the park, animals and tracking. He was also very friendly. I recommend him and this operator to anyone considering a safari. We saw every animal we wanted and consider this experience a true once in a lifetime!!

5.00We selected African Adventure Travellers safari company for the three-day safari to Murchison Falls in October 2025. The program they offered matched our desires in Uganda. Our guide/driver, Huzaima was very skilled and knowledgeable regarding the wildlife and cultural facts during our tour. The safari vehicle was comfortable and well maintained. With his skills Huzaima was able the position the vehicle for the perfect wildlife photos. The rhino sanctuary was an add-on that we accepted and it was an outstanding addition to the tour. I highly recommend this company and the tours they offer based on what we experienced during the tour. The accommodations and meals were exceptionable. Stoney W.

5.00We did the 3-day safari to Murchison Falls with Eddie from African Adventures as our guide, assisted by Tom. The tour was brilliant. Eddie could not have been a better guide. His knowledge of the wildlife was immense, and he knew the answer to any questions we asked. He was always happy to let us influence the pace ― savouring the moment to observe the creatures as well as to take photos for as long as we wished. He was very patient with the number of photos and videos we took! Eddie was flexible and keen to tailor the agenda to our particular interests and needs. We felt we were in safe hands. The whole tour was well organised with suitable meal stops, and the lodge and meals we had there were also of good quality. We saw an incredible number and variety of wildlife and the inclusion of a long river trip was excellent and balanced what we saw in the savannah. We spotted a leopard! It was a magical moment thanks to Eddie’s eagle eyes and well developed instinct. He explained to us how by carefully listening to and watching the birds he senses the whereabouts of the animals. Seeing the mighty Murchison Falls was the perfect way to end our safari. The day after Eddie had dropped us in Entebbe at the end of the trip, we realised we had left our binoculars in his van! We contacted him and he swiftly took the trouble to find a reliable boda driver to deliver them to us. We were hugely relieved to be reunited with the binoculars at our hotel in good time before departing Uganda. We can thoroughly recommend this tour. 5.00My cousin and I had an absolutely unforgettable 3-day safari in Murchison Falls, and I cannot recommend it enough. From the very beginning, our guide Augustine made the trip truly special. He was very friendly and sociable, while also being deeply knowledgeable about the park, the wildlife, and Uganda in general. Our experience included a visit to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, where we got to see rhinos up close on foot – a truly magical experience. We also visited the mighty Murchison Falls - an impressive, breathtaking natural wonder, and went on both game drives and a boat safari on the Nile. We saw a wide variety of animals and had some really close encounters too. The landscape was simply stunning. We stayed at Bar Lyec, which was a perfect choice. The lodge is set in beautiful surroundings close to the Nile and provided a calm and scenic base for our adventure. What stood out most was the extreme hospitality we received – the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and cared for. They even insisted on escorting us from the restaurant to our room when it was dark because there was a chance of elephants and hippos in the area at night! All in all, it was a perfect trip filled with natural beauty, memorable wildlife encounters, great company, and genuine Ugandan warmth. A big thank you to Augustine and everyone at Bar Lyec for making this experience one we will always treasure. A warm recommendation to use African Adventure Travellers.

5.00We had a great 3-day safari to Murchison Falls! Our guides Augustine and Robert were friendly, nice and very competent. Through them we have received very interesting information about customs and customs in Uganda! They planned everything perfectly around the rainy seasons so we could enjoy all the highlights. We have seen an incredible number of animals, some very close: More than 50 elephants, some with super cute babies, more than 100 giraffes, hippos, lions (that's what Augustine went off track for! It was totally fascinating!) Wild boars, baboons, buffaloes, small ungulates, vultures, hyenas, various other monkeys and birds ... The park was also a dream in terms of landscape! The supply and accommodation was great for us! Thank you Augustine and Robert for the great experience!

We really appreciated his professionalism, expertise, and great mood. The Bar Lyec lodge is lovely, and the views on the Nile are simply amazing. I fully recommend this trip to anyone seeking an authentic Ugandan experience!

5.00This trip exceeded my wildest dreams. Our tour guide, Augustine (Gus), was The Absolute Best. He was very experienced and knowledgeable and was able to show us all the animals (plus their babies!!!) that we wanted to see, including lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, baboons, buffalo, hippos, warthogs, and multiple other birds and animals. Gus took us to the best restaurants, and we always felt completely safe and entertained. We will definitely be going back and wouldn’t book with anyone else!

5.00Had an amazing time with Gus as our guide!! We saw the big 5 and more, and babies of every species! Had so much fun and so many laughs in between! The food included was yummy. 100% recommend!

5.00Our 15-day Jala Safari trip was a unique experience. Uganda is an enchanting country full of natural wonders. The organization of the safari allowed us to fully enjoy the beauty of the country. The guide Alex accompanied us with competence and sympathy. We can say that everything promised has been kept.

5.00Our safari experience was nothing short of extraordinary, thanks to Adam from African Adventure Travellers. Adam’s incredible “40/40” vision and vast knowledge of culture, heritage, and wildlife made our trip unforgettable. He spotted animals effortlessly, allowing us to see 25 different species! A special thanks to Jackson at the Rhino Sanctuary. While we missed seeing Obama, the rhino, Jackson’s captivating story of the white rhino population growing from 2 to 43 left us inspired and hopeful for conservation efforts. The sunrise during our adventure was a deeply moving moment. It reminded me how blessed I am to start the year in the heart of Africa with my partner,truly a gift I’ll cherish forever. A huge thank you as well to Linda and Timothy at the lodge for their friendly and welcoming hospitality, which made our stay even better.
