Invermoriston Falls
The name River Moriston translates to ‘river of waterfalls’. From the car park, a scenic trail follows the river as it cascades toward Loch Ness, then loops back through peaceful woodland to complete the route. Towering Scots pines and a lush undergrowth of mosses and ferns create a serene and enchanting forest walk.
Fort Augustus
The village of Fort Augustus sits at the southern tip of Loch Ness. Wander along one of the most picturesque sections of the Caledonian Canal and look down the length of the loch from the Loch Ness Viewpoint.
Commando Monument
We stop at the Commando Memorial which pays tribute to the men of the original British Commando Forces who lost their lives during World War II. The monument was built in 1951 and stands proudly with views of Ben Nevis in the distance.
Glenfinnan Viaduct
The Glenfinnan Viaduct is known to many as the ‘Harry Potter Bridge’ after featuring in two of the famous films. The iconic bridge has twenty-one arches which curve around the dramatic Highland landscape, with views over the stunning Loch Shiel.
Sligachan Old Bridge
According to legend, the waters under Sligachan Old Bridge offer eternal youth. Why not give it a go for yourself? Sligachan also offers beautiful views of the Cuillin Hills.

Fairy Pools
We stop to take in the natural beauty of the Fairy Pools. The crystal-clear waters will take your breath away. Your guide will tell you stories about the folklore of the island, and the fairy stories which bring the island to life.
We enjoy a lunch stop in Dunvegan, a tiny village on the isle of Skye famous for Dunvegan Castle.
Quiraing
Enjoy the spectacular view of the Quiraing; a stunning display of dramatic cliffs, rock pinnacles and breath-taking views on Skye’s Trotternish peninsula.
Kilt Rock
Soak up the iconic view of Kilt Rock, a rugged cliff which resembles – you’ve guessed it – a kilt. Marvel at the breathtaking Mealt Waterfall as it runs into the ocean.
The Old Man of Storr
When it comes to cool geology, this natural wonder is the absolute pinnacle. Standing tall on Skye’s ancient landslip, the Old Man of Storr is such a poser. Sometimes hidden by mist, this is a popular hangout for mischievous fairies.
Isle of Skye to Inverness
Eilean Donan Castle
We stop at the most photographed castle in Scotland, Eilean Donan. Eilean Donan Castle has links to both clans MacKenzie and MacRae. Pay entrance on arrival.
Beauly
Next we stop in the charming highland village of Beauly for the chance to explore. Beauly Priory, which lies at the heart, is a now-derelict monastic community with origins tracing back to the 13th century.
Muir of Ord
Our next stop takes us to Glen Ord for a Highland whisky experience! Enjoy a dram whilst your guide explains exactly how it is made, and teaches you about the history of whisky in Scotland.
Culloden Battlefield
One of the most somber locations in Scotland, Culloden Battlefield remains mostly untouched to pay respect to those who lost their lives in the final Jacobite Uprising of 1746. Visitor Centre is not included, pay locally.
Clava Cairns
Visit one of the inspirations behind Outlander - the Clava Cairns standing stones. These stones stand proudly at 10 feet tall and are known for being a bronze age burial ground.

5.00The tour is an absolute recommendation, especially in March when there is not so much going on. I spent three beautiful, eventful (but not too packed) days and saw a lot of Skye and the Highlands. Tim was a very safe driver & entertaining tour guide who often combined his explanations of places and history with matching songs from his playlist.
The only tour you should consider!

5.00We could not have asked for a better experience. My wife and I decided to do this tour for our honeymoon while we were in Scotland because it seemed to mix both our interests of lovely views and deep historical (and mythological) knowledge. It ended up just being me, my wife, and one other person. We all got along wonderfully and had a blast together. Tim was our tour guide, and he was amazing from the get-go. His deep knowledge for every single stop we went to was inspiring, and he even had music that went with the history of the places we went. He was a big part of why nothing felt dragged out nor "boring." His jokes were hilarious, and anyone who thinks otherwise doesn't have a sense of humor. Since we were a smaller group, we got some extra time to do certain things (like the whisky tasting), and he never once made us feel rushed. As long as your group agrees, it felt as if you still got to get the experience YOU want. I took probably 1800 photos on my camera, and I could have taken the time to take tons more (If TripAdvisor let's me edit I'll come back and add some after I edit them, but for now just enjoy a few phone photos) Weather was perfect for us. Just know they cannot control the weather. We were prepared for the worst (we had extra waterproof pants and multiple layers ready in the bus just in case), but were very lucky we only got drizzled on once, and even then it was for maybe 30 seconds? Even if it was pouring down rain and windy and cold every second of the trip, I would still be writing this same review. The stay in Portree was lovely as well. Amazing service, amazing beds: just perfect after the "long" touring days. Food was wonderful, and I highly recommend the sticky toffee pudding if they have it (it's the best I've had). This trip is 1000% worth the cost. I keep talking about our guide Tim, but he truly was just amazing every step of the way. We even got to very briefly run into the other guides that help run this company, and they were all just as into it as Tim. I think that bodes well that any guide you get with this group will be just the best. Don't even look at any other services: this is the one to do.

5.00My husband and I booked this trip while we're in Scotland for our honeymoon, and we could not have been luckier for the amazing time we had. It was just one other traveler with my husband and I with Tim as our guide. He took us ALL over the countryside from Inverness up to the Isle of Skye (or at least it felt like he did). He told amazing stories of history & mythology, and he was prepared with the best playlist of Scottish artists and folk music while we were travelling. He was super informative, really enthusiastic about the landscapes and stories, and not to mention HILARIOUS! Our stay in Portree while we took our 3 day tour was so cozy and accommodating, and everyone was so incredibly kind. Even the other tour guides from the same company we bumped into along the way were kind and funny. It was truly an incredible journey. My husband and I were kind of sad to say goodbye. Thankfully we have memories of this tour we will never forget. Please consider taking a tour from this company and go find the magic of Scotland for yourself. Anyone who enjoys history, the outdoors, and punny humor, see if you can ask for Tim the Mountain Man 👌🏻 Thanks again to Tim for everything! ✨

5.00This 3 day tour was the highlight of the trip. Our tour guide Torquil was a delight as he talked us through the sites and knowledge of Scotland with important Scottish landmarks across the Isle of Sky and Lochness. The bus was a relaxing experience with frequent stops throughout each day for lunch and sightseeing. I would recommend this tour to anyone looking for a great adventure through Scotland Isle of Sky!

5.00I had wonderful 3 day tour. It was winter so the scenery was absolutely beautiful. I was so impressed by the tour guide Torquil. He was very conscientious of safety and made sure he was available to answer any questions and assist the group with anything needed. Nothing was too much trouble for Torquil. Because of the weather the plans had to change due to safety and many businesses being closed at that time of year. Torquil made sure we all had a good time and navigated any obstacles we encountered along the way. The accommodation was very good and the bus was comfortable. All round happy customer. 😊

5.00Torquil was an excellent, fun guide with a lot of knowledge and entertaining stories. I also appreciated his custom-cultivated music playlist that matched the area/scenery and how it improved the atmosphere. Torquil clearly loves his job and puts his heart and soul into it which makes it an incredibly enjoyable experience. We had snowy weather which meant some changes to the itinerary but Torquil didn't miss a beat and still showed us some other great places. Accommodation was perfectly cosy. The views are spectacular every single minute and I couldn't recommend this tour enough, the snowy weather made everything magical.
