• ALPIN SKI & Board rental - A must in Borovets

  If coming to Borovets to ski - look no further than Alpin Ski and board rental. Travelled with a group of over 30 from Ireland, and from the moment we arrived at Alpin all working there were professional, efficient and we were all fitted with our skis, snow boots and lockers in very quick time. Each morning collecting our ski gear from our lockers, we would be greeted by smiles and would have chats with the owner and colleagues sitting outside on the benches and in the office. As a group of beginners, Sasho was our instructor. I watched daily as he ensured all of us beginners were comfortable before moving onto the next lesson. We were all blown away at his unbelievable patience, maturity and professionalism shown to us all as we were learning the basics of skiing. Each day he challenged us with new technical skills and kept us safe at all times while learning them and made the lessons so much fun. At the end of ski school all of us were skiing down the green slopes up at Gondola and some of us even ventured onto the blue slopes, with our advanced skiers and learnt that we need to stick to the green slopes and practice more😂🤣 I took some private tuition lessons with Sasho and during this time he managed to teach me so much technical skills and also correct a bad habit I had developed with an exercise. He taught me to parallell ski and skate with the skis during this time which is a game changer! We even ventured onto blue slopes during the tuition. THANK YOU so much for instilling confidence in me Sasho and confirming my love for skiing. I look forward to tackle some more blue slopes when I return! Highly recommend Sasho for anyone learning to ski. The restaurant next door to Alpin have some lovely food and the service there is impeccable. We all enjoyed a lovely lunch there on our last day of ski school and some wonderful memories and laughs shared. When some of our group wanted to extend our rental hire to ski an extra day... this was done so quickly and efficiently. We are very grateful we had such an enjoyable week of skiing in Borovets and this was down to Sasho and the wonderful team working at Alpin. Thank you so much!!

  The ski hire was perfect and came with a locker which stored everything for our entire stay. The ski instructor George was amazing, very patient and brilliant with our 9yo son. Highly recommend

• Regret online prepay

  Although I had prepaid online 38 euros for a 3 day ski rental deal (Through tripadvisor!) there they told me that I had to pay 14,5 € more ( 29 bgl) for a middle range skis +boots equipment. And I was finally obligated to pay 14,5 euros more since the prepayment was not returned. At least make it clear that the deal regards low cheap rate equipment. If I knew this I d have never prebooked online to this shop as I had other better options (like to the hotel I was living).

  As complete beginners myself and children hired our equipment here and also had 3 family lessons with George. He was a great instructor and very patient and encouraging with my teenagers. Really enjoyed ourselves and will certainly be back. Other staff were very kind too and helped us with getting our boots on the first morning.

  Excellent rental and lessons (Instructor - Kalena). Top level facilities and equipment. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Instructor was fabulous - was able to identify my limits and provided helpful exercises to overcome them. Will be back!

  Best ski instructors ever at Alpin, George & Maria Kyosev. Very calm, experienced instructors. Both have skills with kids as well as with adults. They know how to choose which slopes ro adapt to be for training and yet challenging exciting. For the kids they also give medals and certificates after finishing skiing. Amusing for the kids. Ski school Alpin has very well secured ski depo, heaters for the gears and modern equipment. We choose them for over a decade. Next to the slopes and Rila Hotel

  Staff: They are amazing. Boris, George and Niki are knowledgable with what gears would be good for you. We had a 3-day lesson with Ivan and at the end of it, we’re already doing the red slopes. Also, Eva who went above and beyond when my friend got injured. We cannot thank her enough! Look out for her when going to Borovets, you’ll be getting a ski lesson from an Olympian if ever 😊. Location: It’s right next to the slope so you will not be carrying your equipment for long walks. Equipment: The stuff’s are great. They have cool designs on their snowboards.

  We had three days of lessons with our instructor Ivan, and we went from being total beginners on the green slopes to doing runs on the red slopes! Everyone who works there is super nice and helpful, especially Eva. She went above and beyond and helped us find a clinic when I got injured. I definitely recommend them since they're right next to the beginner slope.

  This was my first time skiing and I had the best experience. Our instructor Jimmy was fabulous- he was patient, very supportive and kept challenging us but also gave us the option to do easier slopes. He also made the experience so much fun! Within 3 days, I can confidently do the basics. There’s options to do group and private classes- you pick What I loved about this little gem in Borovets, it is quite small and close-knit. Our instructor showed us around - which is great if you’re a solo traveller needing some local recommendations. Great memories made.
