The Capitol Building centers a 450-acre Capitol Campus that includes House and Senate office buildings, the U.S. Botanic Garden, the Library of Congress, and the Supreme Court. Immediately surrounding the Capitol are 59 acres of beautifully kept grounds, landscaped originally in 1892 by Frederick Law Olmsted, who also planned New York City’s Central Park. Although it was planned as early as 1867 — 2 years after Lincoln’s death — Henry Bacon’s design was not completed until 1912, and the memorial was dedicated in 1922. 5.00Charles was great! He was knowledgeable about the city, gave interesting facts and some personal stories along with the tour. Very cordial, always letting us know where he would be parked, and opened and closed the door entering and exiting the van. It was Inauguration weekend, so roads were shutting down and were shut down and Charles pleasantly navigated around making sure we got all our stops and sightseeing in! What a wonderful city! The weather wasn’t the greatest but we managed to get an educational tour for our son in and the clever rhyme, 1-2-3 Man, Thomas Jefferson, was an easy remembrance for my son ! Thank you so much for a wonderful tour !

2.00Extremely disappointed. Expected a patriotic and enjoyable experience seeing our nation’s capital, but instead heard all about BLM, Jan 6, and crude, offensive Muslim jokes. Did not want to hear drivers political views. Vehicle was way less than expected (was promised a Cadillac or Mercedes Van and got a well-worn Ford!)

5.00Our family enjoyed the White House, the Lincoln Memorial the best. And our guide, Bobby was very good. Bobby’s knowledge of DC history and all the sights was so great! We all learned so much! He could speak a bit of German with our family. Bobby was very fun and entertaining, and set everyone at ease and made our trip very memorable!
Do this tour if you want a tourguide who will jazz up the tour with some humor.

5.00We had an excellent time with Bobby. He keeps it super lively and funny with his jokes. I find history to be a bit of a dry/dull subject, so this was the perfect tourguide for me and my son. We took the tour by ourselves so we didn't have to crowd into a larger bus with 50 unmasked strangers, and that also gave us the option to customize our tour. Bobby was filled with excellent information about the sites that we visited (and drove past) and was also able to answer all of our questions. Overall, a fabulous experience.
Worth every penny!

5.00Our guide Bobby was just amazing. He taught us a lot and was also very funny. My Teo teenagers enjoyed the 3 hour tour. Given the time our train arrived to DC, we couldn’t do any of the organized tours so this option allowed us to start when it was convenient for us. Highly recommended!!!
