Noravank Monastery

Since the 5th century, burials of people inside the church have been prohibited. Noravank is one of the gems of medieval Armenian architecture. The church has a distinctive two-story structure. It has a unique second floor, with a narrow staircase, which symbolizes the union of the earthly and the divine.

Tatev

The Monastery of Geghard

The monastery is a medieval wonder partially carved into the surrounding mountain and surrounded by cliffs. Its common name, Geghard or Geghardavank, meaning "Monastery of the Spear", comes from the spear that pierced Jesus during his crucifixion.
