Guilin

When you arrive in Guilin, your local guide will wait for you in the Arrival Hall of the airport, holding a welcome sign with your name on it. Then a comfortable drive will take you to the hotel of the downtown.

Elephant Trunk Hill (Xiangbishan)

After checking in and having a nice break, you will be escorted to the Elephant Trunk Hill, a landmark of Guilin. The hill looks like an elephant stretching its trunk into the water trying to drink, showing the unbelievable creativity of the nature. Then head to East West Street, a 1,400-year-old street with historical buildings. Apart from a general tour, we will also visit Xiaoyao Tower, originally a restaurant built during Tang Dynasty (618 – 907 AD) and frequented by literati who gathered here to appreciate surrounding vistas, write poetry, or drink to commemorate special moments. Afterwards, we drive you back to your hotel.

Longji Rice Terraces

Today you will have a full day sightseeing tour to Dragon's Backbone Rice Terraces. In the morning your guide and driver will collect you from your hotel. Drive out of Guilin around 2.5 hours to Longsheng to visit the Dragon's Backbone Rice Terraces. These spectacular rice terraces cover a total area of 66km2 (25.5sq mi) with the largest slope of over 50°. Layers of terraces winding from the bottom to the top of Longji (Dragon's Backbone) Mountain, all located at an altitude from 300m (330yd) to 1,100m (1,202yd). Circling the terraces there are Zhuang minority villages, whose villagers and their ancestors built these terraces and lived here for hundreds of years. You could see their featured original architectures stilt houses, clothing, traditions and living style. Your guide will escort you back to your hotel in Guilin at the end of the day.

Li River

In the morning, your guide will lead you to take the cruise ship to visit Li River and finally arrive at Yangshuo. This cruise will show you the essence of Li River, with different sceneries in different weather conditions. During the cruise, you can feel the famous Chinese poem saying that the river is like a green silk ribbon and the numerous hills are like jade hairpins with beautiful reflections on the water.

Yangshuo County

The Li River cruise normally takes 3 to 4 hours and arrive in Yangshuo in the early afternoon. Then, you will enjoy a relaxing countryside tour in Yangshuo by bike or by a private car and visit a local villager's home to experience the farmer's lifestyle. As it might be late when finishing visiting, so you will bike or be driven back to downtown Yangshuo afterwards.

In the morning, your guide will pick you up at the hotel and take you back to Guilin. Along the way, you will visit a less-touristy ancient village with a history of over 1,000 years, called Xiongcun.

Guilin

After that, we will transfer you to the airport or high speed train station and see you off there.
