5.00This event was a wonderful opportunity to capture a lot of the flavours and culinary approaches to produce that are hard to come by when roaming the streets and looking for vendors/eateries. Tanya, our chef, compiled a menu that reflected different regions of the country, cultural influences, and choices that may be lesser-known to non-locals. Tanya also has a wealth of knowledge and recommendations about places to try, dishes to scout, and ingredients to search for.

4.00It was truly down to earth and totally local. Being in the ho.e of a Panamanian was a unique experience. Catherine was a great host. She put her heart and soul into creating a truly local experience. Her knowledge was good and the tasting great.

5.00Our experience was wonderful. Catherine was very gracious and made us feel like one of her family. We were the only couple at the dinner but she kept us engaged with stories about the food culture and Panamanian lifestyle. Really enjoyed the tastes of Panama. Even though it was small samples of food we left full and satisfied.

5.00Consider planning this experience early on in your visit to Panama, as an introduction to all the wonderful foods and drinks that the country has to offer. Chef Tanya was a warm and gracious host, in addition to being an excellent Panamanian chef. Before the end of the evening, we sadly had to leave food on our plates, as we were stuffed! Count on learning a lot, too.

5.00Tanya was a warm and gracious hostess, in addition to being an excellent Panamanian chef. We scheduled our tasting as a dinner and sadly had to leave some food on the plate, as we were so stuffed! The experience was educational as well as delicious. We booked at the group rate but were the only guests (3), so, bonus! I highly recommend!

5.00Fantastic time! My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Experiencing quality cooked Panamanian food, Chef Tanya explaining the ingredients and history of the food, made it that much better. Only complaint is Tanya is so reserved.....HA! NOT! She's one of the most gregarious people I've ever run across and that added immensely to the night.

5.00Where do I even begin? Chef Tanya’s warmth and expertise in Panamanian cuisine truly blew us away. From our first interactions before the scheduled visit to the moment we arrived, the entire experience was pleasant, thoughtful, and far beyond our expectations. She welcomed us with a warm smile and gave us an overview of the evening as we waited for the rest of the guests to arrive. Once everyone was present, she introduced the culinary journey we were about to embark on—sharing her roots, her love for traditional Panamanian food, and how she thoughtfully gives it a healthier spin without ever sacrificing flavor, all while beautifully honoring her culture. Every single dish was absolutely delicious. We were so immersed in the food and the wonderful company that we only managed to take one photo of the many dishes we enjoyed 😂—but we did capture a picture of the amazing people who made the evening so memorable. We said goodnight with very full bellies, but the most gratifying part of the evening was the new friends we made along the way. Thank you, Chef Tanya, for such an incredible evening and truly delicious food. We can’t wait to come back!
