5.00We had an absolutely wonderful time. Our hosts were welcoming, knowledgeable, and just a delight to spend a part of our vacation with. We used traditional Mayan techniques and tools to prepare the ingredients and dishes and we're able to enjoy the sauces and dishes as we worked our way to a full meal. Positively delicious and the most interactive, authentic, tasty meal and experience you can have in Cancun.

5.00Such a fantastic experience! Mel and her husband Israel were so hospitable and wonderful, welcoming us into their home to learn special Mexican style cooking. We ended up having multiple courses - from homemade guacamole and salsa to ceviche to cheese and bean empanadas and chicken pibil. We learned so much and were involved in the process as sous chefs with dicing vegetables and pressing tortillas. What a fun evening and we learned so much about “ranch” style Mexico cooking. Highly recommend!

We were nervous originally being that it’s in a local home/apartment, but chef Mel welcomes you to her home and the area felt overall safe and not far from the hotel zone. Food was 10/10 we made guac, empanadas, salsa verde, salsa, ceviche, and pollo pibil. Drinks were also included, we had a variety of mixed drinks and tequila shots. Chef Mel and her husband were very informative and talked about things from their culture.
Come on an empty belly!

5.00Cooking class in home of the chef. Was a warm and personal experience and was flexible to meet our special dietary needs. Food was excellent with many hands on opportunities to participate in preparation. 4 hours not rushed with many drink options. Would do again on a future visit.
