Murchison Falls National Park
The pick-up will be from either; the Hotel or from the Entebbe Airport upon arrival. The assigned Professional English-speaking Tour Driver-guide will pick/receive you and hit the road to Murchison Falls NP. The highlights of this park include; the roaring rapids of the Murchison, the rolling plains of Uganda’s largest National Park where you will have the chance of viewing lions, giraffes, hartebeest, buffalo, and elephants among others. We will have a lunch stop in Masindi and then continue our journey into the Murchison. *Detour to visit the top of the falls to truly appreciate the beauty and magnificence of the Murchison Falls and thereafter, we head to the accommodation. *Info: It is also possible to first do game drive in the park and then finally, head to the accommodation.
Sunrise to midmorning game drive. 11am boat trip upstream towards the falls. Another game drive.

Murchison Falls National Park
Be up early and we proceed for a fully packed wildlife viewing opportunity in the park. Murchison Falls NP is a home to different wildlife species such as; Buffalos, Jackson hartebeests, elephants, Lions, Giraffes, leopards, Hyenas, among others. They are widely spread all over the Savannah grasslands, grazing or hunting for prey. These make the park's landscape so amazing for game viewing/game driving. At around 10:30am, drive to the boat area and proceed on a boat trip upstream towards the falls. Common sighting along the banks are; Hippos, crocodiles and a few bird species. From the boat, we shall move to Red Chilli and enjoy hot lunch there. After the lunch, we can move back for the second leg of our game viewing. After a satisfying day’s encounter, we shall head back to the lodge to freshen up – awaiting dinner and the overnight stay.
Another game drive and then continue to Budongo. Afternoon Chimpanzee tracking and overnight in Masindi.

Budongo Forest Chimpanzee Tracking
Be up early and we move for another sunrise game viewing until about 10am. From the game drive, embark on the drive to Budongo Forest Reserve. Budongo is astonishingly bio-diverse, with 24 mammal species, over 360 birds, 289 butterflies and 465 plants. Budongo is also known for its primate population, which includes around 800 chimpanzees. We shall arrive in time for the briefing. From the briefing, we shall proceed to encounter the Human’s closest relatives with the wild. Enjoy a guided primate walk in the lush expenses of the tropical forest in search of the habituated chimpanzee family. Your guide will explain more about the animals and plants species that you encounter on your way. After the trek, we shall drive to Masindi and check in at the booked facility.
Drive to Ziwa. Proceed for rhino tracking. Enjoy hot lunch and rest. At 3 or 4pm move out for the guided nature walk.

There will be breakfast and then we embark on a transfer to Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary – a successful conservation effort that was set to save the near-extinct rhino population in Uganda. Today, visitors to Uganda have a chance to encounter rhinos thanks to this effort. Once in Zziwa, we will proceed for an hour of on-foot rhino tracking. From the rhino tracking, we shall go straight to the accommodation. There will be lunch and some rest. At around 4pm, move out to explore the Zziwa on a guided nature walk. Walking through this Sanctuary enables one to get a glimpse of the diverse and plentiful wildlife that call this place home. Besides wildlife sighting, you simply get to breathe in the pristine fresh air and soak in wonderful scenery. Just being close to nature. Thereafter, return to the lodge for dinner.
Move out for shoebill stork sighting excursion in Lugogo wetlands. Thereafter, transfer to Entebbe and fly out.

Entebbe Botanical Gardens
Be up early and proceed for the (06:00am) shoebill trek and canoe ride through the Lugogo swamp with the opportunity to find the pre-historic shoebill stork among other bird species in the area, but also to see the beautiful Ugandan sunrise over Lugogo Swamp. After this excursion, we will return to the facility and then set off for a return journey to Entebbe (with drop off at the Airport or facility of your personal booking).

5.00The 5 day Safari was amazing! This was my first time to Africa and I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. My guide, Kareem, was very knowledgeable, professional and pleasant. Kareem made me feel very comfortable. All three lodges I stayed at were beautiful and comfortable. Everyone was very welcoming and the food was delicious. I got to see rhinos, giraffes, lions, chimpanzees, a leopard and many more animals. The boat ride on the Nile River was beautiful. I highly recommend Home to Africa Tours, ask for Kareem.

4.00Derrick was an excellent and proactive tour guide. He went above and beyond to make sure that we had an AMAZING experience, seeing all there is to see: jaguars, lions, elephants, hippos, etc. He also told us very interesting facts about Ugandan culture that opened our eyes (: I only dock a star because I wish that there were more expectations set per day. Sometimes it felt like we were getting into the van but weren't being briefed all the way about what was happening.

5.00I completed a 9-day tour in Uganda with "Home to Africa" in July 2025. First of all, my contacts with the agency (Elias and Hedmond) were very friendly and very professional. The trip program was perfectly respected, the lodges were nice and clean. My guide BENON was super pleasant, competent and very helpful, he never refused my requests and on several occasions we had extended days because I am passionate about animals and nature. He was full of little attentions during my stay. He is a very nice person, I highly recommend him! My tour where I had exciting experiences: trekking with chimpanzees, gorillas and golden monkeys, safaris at Queen Elizabeth N.P and MBuro N.P and a short stay on Itambira Island at Lake Bunyonyi where I met wonderful people (Sally). A big THANK YOU to BENON and Home to Africa!

From the moment we were picked up in Entebbe, every detail was well-organized and seamless. The team went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, safe, and always having fun. Each day brought new adventures – horseback riding with zebras and giraffes in Lake Mburo, chimpanzee tracking in Kalinzu Forest, spotting tree-climbing lions in Ishasha, and the unforgettable gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi. The landscapes were breathtaking, the wildlife encounters were magical, and the memories we made will last a lifetime. Special thanks to our guide, who was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and made every moment feel personalized. The accommodations were cozy and authentic, and we appreciated the thoughtful touches throughout the trip. 5.00Everything was excellent from start to finish! Our guide, Derrick, was well above our expectations always being very attentive and with the best disposition. We saw a lot of great animals, the tracking was perfect and the trip entertaining and didactic. I recommend it 100%!
