  Where do we begin with our honeymoon safari trip with Wanderer Tanzania. The booking process with Koen was extremely easy and he was very communicative. He provided great advice and helped build the itinerary to suit our budget and interests. Leading up to our trip the communication was great, answering any questions we had. When we arrived into Kilimanjaro airport our transfer was waiting for us and got us to our first hotel safely. On the first morning of our 5 day safari trip, we were warmly greeted by our guide David. David was absolutely brilliant and we were sad to leave him at the end of our trip. He was highly experienced and very knowledgeable, taking us to the best spots to find animals in the Serengeti, Tarangire and Ngorongoro. Nothing was ever too much trouble and he looked after us throughout the trip, providing great information about the wildlife and local culture. We arranged the second part of our honeymoon to Zanzibar ourselves but Wanderer Tanzania booked our domestic flight from Arusha to Zanzibar and our transfer to hotel when we landed. Our experience with Wanderer Tanzania was 10/10 and we would highly recommend them! Big shout out to David for making our trip so memorable 😀

  If you’re looking to book a safari, look no further. Wanderer Tanzania were absolutely brilliant from start to finish, and we would recommend them to absolutely everyone! From the very beginning, the whole booking and planning process was seamless. Koen Cooper was amazing in helping us organise the perfect two-week honeymoon. We had no idea where to start, but he made everything so easy, listening to what we wanted, working with our timeline, and even making thoughtful suggestions we hadn’t considered. He co-ordinated everything around our flight times and took away so much of the stress (especially while we were in the midst of wedding planning!). Communication was fantastic throughout, Koen was always quick to reply and incredibly helpful. When it came to the safari itself, we had a small last-minute change with our driver/guide the night before, but Wanderer Tanzania had already sorted everything before we’d even woken up. Their communication and organisation was exceptional. Our guide Norbert was absolutely incredible! Norbert was so knowledgeable, passionate, and fun to be around. His love for his job really shone through, and we’re certain that’s why we saw so much wildlife. Thanks to his dedication, we experienced an unforgettable five days on safari and were lucky enough to see all of the Big Five (and so much more!). Norbert truly made our safari dream come to life, and we can’t thank him enough. All the food we had was made by the camps we stayed at and we had it during the safari days at lunch spots. The food was really really good, consisting of curries or stews, rice, fruit, biscuits and juice boxes. We also added on a hot air balloon safari, which we asked The Wanderer if this was possible and they sorted everything! After our safari, we flew to Zanzibar for the final week of our honeymoon, once again all arranged by Wanderer Tanzania. They booked our flights and recommended a hotel (which we could have changed if we’d wanted), but we’re so glad we trusted their choice because it was perfect in every way. We are beyond happy that we chose Wanderer Tanzania. Every single detail was handled with care, professionalism, and a genuine passion for creating unforgettable experiences. They made our honeymoon nothing short of perfect.   From start to finish everything was perfectly organized and individually tailored to our wishes. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed and taken directly to our first accommodation. All lodges were beautifully selected, with super friendly staff and delicious food. Also the itinerary was absolutely coherent! The highlight was our guide Salum – with a lot of knowledge, experience and passion he led us through three national parks in 5 days. Thanks to him, we could actually see all the Big Five and many more animals! The organization was top and characterized by small attentions: own thermos bottles, handmade bracelets with our names from locals, enough food & drink and always the feeling of being well looked after. We were there during the difficult political situation of the election and the team gave everything to keep us informed and to be sure that we are fine and that our journey home can succeed. Also the onward journey and time after the safari to Zanzibar including transfers to the dreamlike hotel went smoothly and we had a great time with a great excursion (also booked again through The Wanderer and top implemented). In addition, it was by far (and we obtained offers from over 10 agencies and talked to other local travellers) the trip with the best Price quality ratio and absolutely fair! We would book again through this agency at any time – here the focus is on people, not mass tourism.   We’ve just returned from the most incredible two-week adventure booked through The Wanderer Tanzania, and everything from start to finish ran absolutely seamlessly. Every detail was perfectly organised, allowing us to simply relax and enjoy every moment. Our safari guide, David, was truly exceptional — knowledgeable, kind, and passionate about the wildlife and landscapes. He made each game drive unforgettable, spotting animals we’d have never noticed and sharing stories that brought the parks to life. We visited Tarangire National Park, the Serengeti, and the Ngorongoro Crater — each one breathtaking in its own way. From herds of elephants under baobab trees to lions on the open plains and the awe-inspiring views of the crater, every day offered something magical. After the adventure of a lifetime on safari, we spent six nights unwinding in Zanzibar, which was the perfect ending — turquoise seas, white sand, and a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere.   Unforgettable Safari - Highly Recommended ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our honeymoon safari with The Wanderer was perfection. Salum, our guide with 30 years’ experience, was exceptional - a true David Attenborough who shared deep knowledge of animal behavior, breeding patterns, and birds. Despite October’s dry season challenges, he ensured we saw the Big 5, plus abundant lions, cheetahs, elephants, elands, and impalas. Koan’s thorough planning created an ideal itinerary: 5 nights including 3 in Serengeti (the unmatched crown jewel), plus Tarangire and Ngorongoro where we spotted rhino. Our mid-Serengeti camps offered modern comfort while hyenas and lions serenaded us nightly.   We had the most caring and friendly guide in Adili. He was so knowledgeable about the animals in the parks, the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater. By the end of the week we wanted to adopt him! Three of the accommodations were absolutely top notch. The other two were good, but because of our ages and walking difficulties, they were not as convenient.   We travelled the last two weeks of September with The Wanderer Tanzania, 5 days of Safari and 5 days in Zanzibar. What about it? Landscapes and unique places to see absolutely at least once in a lifetime! Excellent organization of the agency, which followed us every day and was attentive to our every communication, very recommended! The lodges were beautiful and completely immersed in the nature of the savannah, Highly recommended! A special mention for our guides David and Evans who accompanied us on this exciting journey introduced us to the customs and culture of this fantastic country, indeed thanks to David's perseverance we were able to see all the big Five on our first Safari! • 10/10 Safari Tour with Wanderer Tanzania

  My wife and I booked Wanderer Tanzania for a 5 day safari in Tanzania for our honeymoon and it was absolutely incredible! First I need to mention our tour guide Ernest, he was the nicest and funniest guy. His knowledge of animals and their behaviour was amazing, it honestly made our safari so special having Ernest guide us and teach us as we seen all kinds of animals. He also taught us a lot about Tanzania culture. There are thousands of tour guides however we are so glad we got someone like Ernest. Secondly the booking process and attention to detail provided by Koen at Wanderer Tanzania was second to none. Koen provided an itinerary based on our request then also provided several other options to consider and tailor the trip. This process was extremely easy and very fast receiving responses from Koen. I will definitely be recommending Wanderer Tanzania to friends and family considering a safari! Our trip: We visited Tarangire national park on day 1 which was incredible, we seen lions, cheetahs, elephants and many more! Day 2 we travelled to the Serengeti and stopped at Safari Land next to lake Manyara which is a great shop for souvenirs and tanzanite at a good price if interested! In the Serengeti we seen leopards, lions, elephants, giraffes, hippos and many more! What’s great about the safari is the guides use a radio channel where they communicate and give each other information of animal sitings. Day 3 we travelled to the Northern Serengeti to witness the Great Migration of wildebeest across the River Mara. The wildebeest did not want to cross this day however 27 elephants did which was amazing to see! Day 4 we went back to the river early morning to see if the wildebeest would cross and after a 4 hour wait they did. It was a spectacle seeing 1000+ wildebeest cross in crocodile infested waters! We travelled back to the central Serengeti and I have to mention Serenity Camp, this was the best camp we stayed at in a national park. We woke up one morning to a giraffe outside the tent and got photos, it was special. The team here were so helpful and also took us on a walk to a nearby rock to see the sunset. 100% must stay at if in the central Serengeti. Day 5 we travelled to the Ngorongoro crater which is a huge crater with so many animals in it. There are around 20 rhinos here however during this season they hide in the trees and bushes so we unfortunately didn’t see one, but nonetheless we seen so many other animals and driving into the crater was amazing in itself. We were extremely lucky seeing so many animals however some were not very close to the safari track so binoculars are definitely required! Also the tour guides do their best to show you as many animals as possible however it’s worth noting the parks are very vast so during some periods it take some time to drive around so patience is required! Also the roads north of the Ngorongoro crater are extremely dusty so face masks/covers are recommended!

  Absolutely amazing trip! Highly recommend. I hadn’t done a safari before this trip and was overwhelmed by the planning process. Koen was very helpful and organised everything to perfection. We did a 10 day trip in September 2025, 5 days safari and 5 days in Zanzibar. We had Abdul as our guide who was great and very experienced. From the moment he picked us up at the airport every little thing was taken care of and seamless. All we had to do was enjoy the trip. We saw so many animals, including the big 5! A particular highlight was the number of hippos that we came across in one of the pools. Abdul was very knowledgable about the animals and made sure that we saw everything we wanted to see. The accommodation that we stayed in throughout the safari was beautiful and spacious. The staff at each place were incredibly kind and thoughtful. Particularly at Suenos De Africa luxury tents in the Serengeti - the staff sang and danced for us and baked us a cake to say goodbye. The food throughout was delicious and we were well fed. At each accommodation you had a 3-4 course meal and each day whilst on safari we had a freshly cooked meal such as rice and curry, with yoghurt, fruit and drinks. The hot air balloon and Masai experiences which were arranged were also a highlight of the trip and I highly recommend. There was easy communication with the operations team throughout the trip by WhatsApp. Upon leaving the safari part of the trip, we were gifted with a bracelet as a memory of the trip which was very thoughtful.
