Explore the Obudu Ranch in its beauty and splendor. Our dedicated guide will take you on a facility tour of the resort, showing you Mountain Villas, African huts and of course the presidential retreat (Camp Obudu). You also get to see the rolling mountains of Obudu as they kiss the clouds.

Enjoy a breathtaking view of the mountains and literarily walk in the clouds and your guide will take you to view a few waterfalls from a distance on the mountain. Picture here are awesome!

After your introductory tour round the resort, you get to have a dip in the natural pool at the Grotto. The water is cool and constantly flowing. You may wish to have a drink or two. You may also wish to relax as long as you wish at the Grotto.

It’s time to explore the holy mountains of Obudu where you also get to the Cameroon border view point. This is a very good location for you to commune with nature, view some waterfalls from a distance and also see the bunkers where people hid during war time centuries ago.

Get on the breathtaking canopy walk at the becheeve nature reserve. The 60 meter long suspended Canopy Walkway will lead you to a tower where you get an aerial view of a part of the Ranch.

After your breakfast, it will be time to depart the resort on yet another interesting road trip to your start point.

Upon arrival in Calabar, after check-in to your room, you will take some time to rest before setting out to for a city tour. The tour takes you to the Marina resort where you get to explore the slave museum and other attractions within the resort. You also get to visit the National museum to explore the colonial times and history around Calabar.

After check -in and some rest, you may choose to proceed to the Marina resort for a relaxed evening with dinner (local delicacy) overlooking the Calabar river. You may choose to rest upon arrival in Calabar and have this experience the next day prior to check out. Other places to be visited include, Drill Ranch, National Museum and Twin Island

4.00Travelling around Nigeria can be a daunting prospect and we would like to thank the Motley crew for all the thought, time and care they took to ensure that we enjoyed our stay. Without them, the logistics of travelling around the country would not have possible. With their help we were able to really explore Nigeria. Great organisation, always on time and with reasonable vehicles we saw more of Nigeria with the help of Motley than many Nigerian have. From Abuja we travelled by road to Obudu mountain resort, a chance to see something of the magnificent landscape that Nigeria has but you don’t hear about. From Obudu down to Calabar with a night stop with the rangers at cross river state reserve and then a bit of luxury in a hotel before exploring this port city. Travelling by road in Nigeria is not easy, if you are going to do it, I would recommend doing it with Motley. Many thanks to Motley for showing us Nigeria in all its many guises.
