The pass serves as crucial route for local herders and travelers to reach Son Kul Lake.
Song Kol Lake
Is one of the largest and beautiful lakes in Kyrgyzstan and situated at 3000 meters above sea level. Son Kol is famous for its breathtaking landscapes, vast pastures and serene environment. In summer time local herders set up yurts around the lake, offering glimpse into true nomadic lifestyle . The area around Son Kol Lakes ideal for outdoor activities such as hiking, horseback riding and camping.

Bokonbayevo
Bokonbaevo is known as a place where many traditional eagle breeders live. Eagle hunting is an ancient practice that has been passed down from generation to generation. Guests will witness a hunting eagle show, where a breeder demonstrates how they train eagles to hunt in the wild. This will be followed by a Taigan hunting dog show, showcasing how the eagle and Taigan work together as a team when hunting in nature. The event will conclude with an archery demonstration, where guests can see traditional bow and arrow shooting in action and shoot themselves as well.
Canyon Skazka
Skazka Canyon, also known as Fairy Tale Canyon, is a stunning natural attraction in Kyrgyzstan, located near the southern shore of Issyk-Kul Lake. 5.00Just finished a 5 day 4 night tour in the Issyk-Kul region with Mars from Atlas KG, as a group of four friends in our late 20s, and we had a great experience. Everything was well organized, with our guide adapting the schedule to conditions on the ground and to the group's interests / pace. Mars had solid knowledge of the region and shared a lot of info about local and national history and context throughout the trip. The accommodation along the route was consistently comfortable and high quality, in places that clearly weren't budget options. The food was a highlight as well. Through these nearly ten meals, we got to try most of the typical regional and national dishes. Our guide always ordered generously for the table -- for an all-inclusive tour, that kind of attention to the food makes a noticeable difference. Would recommend to anyone planning this trip. He showed us hidden spots and experiences. Every day was different than the day before. Food was delicious and accommodation very comfortable. I would book this tour immediately again!

5.00We had an amazing 6-day tour in Kyrgyzstan, and it turned out to be even better than we expected. The whole trip was very well arranged, and we truly appreciated the warm hospitality throughout the journey. Our guide, Mars, was excellent. He was friendly, patient, professional, and made sure everything went smoothly from start to finish. He also shared a lot about Kyrgyz culture, traditions, and local life, which helped us understand and appreciate the country even more. The scenery in Kyrgyzstan was absolutely breathtaking. We were constantly surprised by the beautiful landscapes, from snowy mountains and frozen waterfalls to canyons, hiking trails, and peaceful countryside views. Each place had something special to offer. We enjoyed so many memorable activities, including playing in the snow, horse riding, having a picnic, hiking, visiting a frozen waterfall, and exploring the canyon. We also really enjoyed the food during the tour. Every day was different, and we had the chance to try a variety of local dishes. It made the experience feel even more authentic and enjoyable. Another highlight was staying in different homestays. Each one gave us a chance to experience the local lifestyle and hospitality more closely. We loved the cozy atmosphere and the opportunity to enjoy the local vibe in different places. One of the most meaningful parts of the trip was our proposal. We informed Mars about our plan in advance, and he helped arrange everything smoothly. He also helped us arrange traditional clothing, which made the moment feel even more special, meaningful, and connected to the local culture. Thanks to his support, the proposal was carried out perfectly and became a very special memory for us. Overall, this was a wonderful and unforgettable trip. Kyrgyzstan is a beautiful country with stunning nature, kind people, delicious food, and rich culture. We are very grateful for the experience and would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to explore Kyrgyzstan in a meaningful and memorable way.

5.00The entire experience is awesome! Although it is off season and some of the places are inaccessible due to melting snow, the revised itinerary brought us to lesser known places like Jyrgalan and Chon Kemin. The views were breathtaking wherever we went. Our guide, Maksat, took great care of us, brought us to many delicious local eateries and is very knowledgeable about Kyrgyz history. Most important of all, he is a safe driver. Throughout the trip, both of us felt very secure in his car. In addition, they upgraded our vehicle to a bigger one for extra comfort. The next time I visit Kyrgyzstan in spring/fall, I will definitely consider them as our guide again.

5.00We can happily recommend Atlas - and their fantastic tour guide Mirza - to anyone considering a trip in Kyrgystan. (We’re a middle aged Irish couple and did a 5 day/4 night trip travelling in an SUV). Our yurt stay at Sol Kul Lake was cancelled due to poor weather - which can happen in mid-October. Horse-riding in Chon-Kemin Valley, staying at Ular guest house, was offered as a replacement and turned out to be an unexpected gem. Other highlights included : the Burano Tower; a fantastic eagle show and demonstration of nomad skills; climbing the Fairy Tale Canyon; a hike to waterfalls; an amazing jeep ride and trek through a beautiful snow-filled Altyn Arashan after which we had a welcome and relaxing dip in hot springs. The accommodation in rural areas was rustic and charming. The food (all inclusive) was plentiful and good quality, with great salads. We over ate!! Atlas were easy and professional to deal with - they promptly replied to any queries. What made the trip an exceptional experience and truly special was our guide, Mirza. He was such great company and went above and beyond to ensure we had a good time. Mirza was flexible and generally happy to adjust timetables to suit us, where possible. He happily accommodated our requests to visit the fascinating Dugan mosque and Holy Trinity Church in Karakol. Mirza was so attentive to our needs and such great company. He is well-travelled and his wide experience and extensive knowledge makes him very engaging company. His openness and sense of humour added a special dimension to our trip. We learned so much from him about Kyrgystan. Kyrgystan is such a beautiful country and we wish we’d allowed more time to explore.

5.00I have just returned from an absolutely marvelous 5-day journey through Kyrgyzstan, and I am filled with gratitude for the exceptional experience provided by the travel agency and our outstanding guide, Max. From start to finish, the trip was seamless and wonderfully relaxing. Each day was expertly curated, striking the perfect balance between activity and leisure. A highlight was the culinary exploration; we tasted a wide variety of local specialties each day, with no repetition, making every meal a new adventure. Max's thoughtful nature was further demonstrated by a lovely small gift, which we truly appreciated. Ultimately, it was Max's expert guidance, meticulous planning, warm personality, and great sense of humor that transformed a great trip into an unforgettable one. This journey has left us with such fond memories that we are already dreaming of our next visit.
