Roatan is the diving destination in the Caribbean and elsewhere. Roatan is a lush, green island and is part of a group of islands called "The Bay Islands." It is home to the 2nd largest pristine reef in the world, almost unlimited underwater visibility, warm seas, great culinary delights, a slow and easy way of life, and friendly people. It is located below the hurricane belt for added safety and peace of mind. We offer smaller scuba diving groups specializing in guided, personalized scuba diving, eco-travel, and scuba instruction.
For certified divers, West Bay Divers in Roatan can offer you your very own personal diving leader, or your personal PADI scuba instructor in your continuing scuba diving education. West Bay Divers offers PADI certified recreational scuba diving courses ranging from Scuba Diver to Master Diver.

5.00We had an amazing experience with this dive shop! Everything was well organized, professional, and super smooth from start to finish. A special shoutout to Takeshi, our guide, who was absolutely excellent. He was knowledgeable, patient, and made us feel completely safe and comfortable the entire time. You can tell he truly cares about what he does and wants everyone to have the best possible experience. He also pointed out so many cool things underwater that we would have otherwise missed. Highly recommend this shop, and if you can, ask for Takeshi—you’ll be in great hands!

5.00Year 2 diving with West Bay!! We had such an amazing time last year, we had to go back. My husband, 2 kids and I did 9 dives over the course of our week and the crew was fantastic. From scheduling with Wayne, checking in with Barney in the office and of course diving with Joel - we had a great time. Everything is so easy with this crew, you can just relax and enjoy the dive. Meet on the beach, hop on the boat and all equipment is there and ready. Joel took our family to some amazing spots, took pictures and videos for us and even did an underwater celebration for my son’s birthday! This is a world class group - highly recommend - we will definitely be back again!! The team is amazing and we love diving with Joel!! Can’t wait to get back.

5.00This was our fourth time diving with West Bay divers in Roatan. We love their personalized service knowledge of all the reefs and attentive staff. This time because of bad weather we dove both north and south Shores every dive was amazing! We saw sea turtles, stingrays, seahorses, beautiful fish, soft coral and amazing swim thoughts. Our dive master Takeshi was fantastic with every member of our family, including our newly certified 12-year-old son.

5.00West Bay Divers was great. I had no gear and it had been a while since I last dove. They have multiple experiences guides, and set me up with whatever equipment I needed (everything). We had changing weather conditions during the week and they adjusted to going to different sides of the island to provide a great dive each time. A shout out to Nico who was my great guide and dive partner👍👍

5.00I took a solo trip to Roatan last week and did nine dives with West Bay Divers— it was the absolute best part of my trip. The dive groups were small (my largest was three and I had several dives solo with my DM Marcos), and the captain, leads, and dive masters all communicated professionally and emphasized safety and environmental ethics. Each group was tailored to the client’s capabilities, and the service was incredibly down to earth and fun while still being knowledgeable and working hard to find interesting sea life for us to see. I saw something new and different at each dive site, and the boats left on time for each dive, the equipment was in excellent shape, it was full boat concierge service, and the dives were easy to book with great communication from the shop staff. Eternally grateful for such a wonderful experience from Marcos and the crew. Highly recommend

5.00I booked West Bay Divers through the Kimpton for 7 dives including a night dive. I was a little confused walking down the beach the first morning. It was the furthest dive shop from the hotel on West Bay. I now know why. This was a quality operation from start to finish. Great boats. Great equipment. Convenient, organized and friendly shop (with individual lockers). But the service was a step above. Arturo was friendly, knowledgeable, and fun. He made sure that everything was arranged ahead of time, equiptment was clean and on the boat in the morning, and cleaned and broken down at night. I have never had an experience where a dive shop says to arrive 10 minutes before departure (after the first day), particularly when diving nitrox!
3 Days of Great Family Dives

5.00We dove 3 days with West Bay Divers and had a great time. Everything was easy and friendly from check in to check out. Barny and Marie took care of all the admin and Barny gave a solid recommendation for a separate fishing captain (Wahoo Slayer). Captain Edwin and Dive guide Abner were awesome. Coral canyons, walls, swim throughs were all amazing, sea life was amazing, Abner was a great host and introduced us to some of the local seahorse residents, 2 at Buchos Bank and one at Mandy’s Eel Garden. We saw numerous sea turtles, lobster, rays, shrimp, brittle stars, and a humongous crab that was bigger than I ever could have imagined. Abner also picked up on my air consumption and upped me to 100 cuft tank so I could keep up with the kids. Great dive operation.
