Lawrence's Spring
The spring is at the top of a short scramble – head for the fig tree, located just 2km (1.2 miles) south-west of the village of Rum. The spring was named in honour of Lawrence’s evocative description in the Seven Pillars of Wisdom: ‘’In front of us a path, pale with use, zigzagged up the cliff-plinth…From between [the] trees, in hidden crannies of the rock, issued strange cries; the echoes, turned into music, of the voices of the Arabs watering camels at the springs which flowed out three hundred feet above ground’’. Although the pool itself is largely unprepossessing, being a stagnant puddle, the views across the desert are truly spectacular
Among the vast expanses of rust-coloured sand in the Wadi Rum desert, the Red Sand Dune, or ‘Al Hasany’ in Arabic, is one of the most famous ones. Officially named Al Ramal it has become better known by its descriptive name. It stands out against a cliff side like it is part of the mountain. Coloured red by the presence of iron oxide, this dune is fine and soft underfoot making it perfect to walk up barefoot

5.00This is a fantastic company for a tour in wadi rum! A local tour by the local people to understand local culture, history and religion. Mohammed was an incredible tour guide. Organised everything from where to meet him, what we'll be seeing and what time we'll be back. He took us to spots that fit our schedule. Got some great photos and all around. A very well worth the trip. Thank you Mohammed for an unforgettable experience!!

5.00A wonderful experience! We saw lots of great places and did cool activities in the desert. I was 4 months pregnant and Mohammad gave very good advice on which offer to take, he drove very carefully and took great care of us. And also the night in the tent was awesome, the tents are cozy and the dinner was really tasty fresh und authentic. Highly recommended!

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcome by Mohammad, next day his brother took us around Wadi Rum, who is knowledgeable, friendly, passionate about sharing the beauty of the desert. 5 start hospitality and absolutely worth it.

5.00We had a wonderful experience with Wadi Rum Day Tours! We did the full day tour, including a camel ride, which was packed with amazing views, walks around the cliffs and dunes, lots of tea at all the stops, and a tasty homemade lunch. Thank you!

5.00The booking was simple quick and efficient. Mohammed gave us all the details for the pick and what we would be doing throughout the day. We also wanted to do some stargazing which he kindly arranged for us. He was informative, friendly and intelligent company. You can really feel his love for Wadi Rum. A wonderful day and a wonderful experience.

5.00Our stay with Mohammed in his “cave under the stars” was absolutely unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, Mohammed welcomed us with such warmth and kindness, making us feel completely at ease. The food, served around the fire, was really really delicious and added a magical touch to the evening. Mohammed shared fascinating stories about his life as a Bedouin, giving us a unique glimpse into his culture and way of life. His genuine hospitality and friendly nature truly made the experience special. The jeep tour was breathtaking, with incredible views and more of Mohammed’s captivating stories. To top it off, he taught me how to take stunning photos of the stars with my phone—a memory I’ll cherish forever. This was a 5-star experience without hesitation. Thank you, Mohammed, for an extraordinary and enriching adventure!

5.00We did a two-hour tour with Mohammad, which was a great way to see a few highlights of Wadi Rum without a huge time commitment. Mohammed was knowledgeable and friendly, and gave us plenty of information and time to explore. It was great to learn about the history of the area and what life is like today in Wadi Rum.
A perfect guide for our family, a perfect amount of time, a beloved desert that we will never forget.

5.00Mohammad welcomed us into his beloved desert from the moment he picked us up at the meeting point. He took care of us in so many ways, from loading up the truck with water bottles, lending me his own farwa (body-length winter coat) when the temperature dropped, offering to take photos of us at the iconic sites, answering the myriad of questions my children asked about Bedouin life, and personally making a fire and making tea for us to sip while we watched the sunset. During the 5-hr excursion, we were able to see all the major points of interest. At some, we stopped and climbed for the views and photos. At others, we took a short walk into (or even through!) a canyon. Such a calm and peaceful place. Never more than a handful of other people doing their own excursions. Our kids (ages 12-17) loved the freedom to climb and explore at each stop, sometimes with hiking shoes, sometimes barefoot! This was the highlight for them. Mohammad never made us feel rushed or that we were unwanted visitors. The kids would have loved to stay at the sandboarding location and have a few more turns, but the sunset was quickly approaching and we didn’t want to miss that. The sunset/tea experience was a perfect end to our day in the desert. We highly recommend Mohammad and his tour for anyone coming to Wadi Rum!

5.00What an incredible tour! The views and landscapes are stunning. Mohamed is an amazing guide; so friendly, generous and informative. He gave us (2 people) space to explore and relax as well as guiding us to such fascinating places. He went above and beyond to make sure our evening was amazing. We will never forget it - thank you so much!
