See Auckland's wild side on this half-day tour from Auckland. Visit the iconic Mt Eden volcano before travelling to Piha Beach. 5.00If you live volcanos and learn by about Māori culture this is the tour for you. Jerome was an excellent guide and through him we learned about the huge number of volcanoes around Auckland. It was so interesting to learn a little about Māori culture too and the sacred place volcanos held for them

5.00This did not feel like a tour at all. It felt like a friend was showing you around their home town. We had a wonderful day This was a great combination of beautiful outlook views of Auckland and “off the beaten path” visits to a stunning beach, forests and even an isolated waterfall. We also loved a visit to a little surf shop/cafe that didn’t feel touristy at all. Our guide was full of good info and history too. Highly recommended

5.00Harriet our tour guide and driver contucted a wonderful small group tour for us today. We started with scenic lookout which provided 360 degree views of Auckland city Devonport and beyond. This was Mount Eden. Harriet gave a very detailed description of the extinct volcanos as well as other extinct volcanoes as well as other landmarks. She was very pleasant and informative. And as the track up to the top was steep for some people she makes suggestions of alternative way to get to the top. Then we continued on to Pina Beach we spent a good amount of time walking up and down the beach. She pointed out a rock formation called the Lion. We also saw a couple nice water falls 1 was named Karekare falls. With a final stop in at boutique winery where we sampled 5 wines from the Soljans winery. Which rounded off our wonderful day. Harriet was great she never rush any of us and was very accommodating. We also enjoyed her commentary and would book with Voltours again
Highly recommended even when the weather isn't perfect!

5.00We had a great day. Our guide was very knowledgeable about nature, history, and even contemporary social issues relevant to the area. It was rainy and windy but our guide made some adjustments to our schedule to make sure we had a terrific experience.

5.00Had a fantastic tour with Harriet of the area around Auckland and the beautiful nature it has to offer. Mt. Eden was a great kick off to survey the city but we then immediately headed out of the city to the coast. The walk around Piha Beach was beautiful and Karekare Falls was a special spot and very calm and lush. The winery was a great end with tasty wines and good food. Harriet was incredibly knowledgeable in many areas like history, nature, and the local culture and was very friendly and engaging. Would highly recommend this to those wanting to see the nature that is just a reasonable drive away from the city.
