5.00I've customized my Sri Lanka itinerary with the operator, who was very accommodating. They even suggested milder food options, knowing I can't handle overly spicy dishes. They're incredibly friendly, and the itinerary would be perfect without the added shopping stops.

5.00To judge Shehan solely as a driver would be hugely unfair. For the record, I can write that he performs fantastically in this role. He is focused on the road but at the same time gives his attention to his passengers. Traffic in Sri Lanka is challenging, but I spent just under two weeks as a passenger by his side and felt more comfortable than with any other driver ever before. He follows all the rules, has a high driving culture and it was a great pleasure to traverse this unique island with him. However, the most important thing about Shehan is the kind of person he is. He is an incredibly polite, friendly, open and communicative guy. He has a very extensive knowledge of Sri Lanka and beyond, you can talk to him about literally any subject and have a lot of laughs in the process. He knows loads of people in every town, can always recommend a great place for lunch and has all the attractions in his little finger. He is very keen to suggest additional elements to the itinerary and is never wrong. It is worth listening to him and taking his advice as he knows the island like the back of his hand. Exploring Sri Lanka with him by my side was a great honour and I can honestly recommend Lux Traveller as a company and Shehan - above all as a person and of course as a driver.
