Lake Chala
Crocodiles were introduced to Lake Chala in the 1930's. According to legend they were brought in by E.S. Grogan, a British explorer who became famous for walking from Cape Town to Cairo in 1898. The terrain is totally unsuitable for crocodiles to breed, there being no beaches or sandy areas to make their nests. In the early 1990s fishermen were angered that their nets were continually being destroyed, and therefore began a program to eradicate them. There are no longer any crocodiles left in Lake Chala and the lake is safe for swimming; however as everywhere in Africa it pays to be careful

Sandy, hilly trails and stony trails (190km - 7 hours) After breakfast we explore through the range of the eastern Pare Mountains where we will ride down to the southern ranges and will be no tarmac roads at all. The trail goes through virgin savannah up and about to Lake Kalimawe which is surrounded by rice plantations and small villages. The ride continues adjacent to the area of Mkomazi National Park on the slopes. After lunch break, we will start to explore the Usambara Mountains, small villages of Mnazi and Mlalo and palm forests. We are going to ride on the zigzag road up the Usambara Mountains at Mtae (Mambo village) over 2300m, which offers unique views over the region. This is a big day of riding and all of us will be tired at the end of this adventure and we will surely deserve a cold beer and a rest.

Lake Natron
This ride can be taken on hardcore route of Monduli or an easier route. We ride through rolling country with scrub and scattered thorn trees and we will see colourful Maasai herding their cows and goats. We may also see antelope and zebra, and if we are lucky perhaps a predator. We will ride on loose gravel and a little sand which is fun and later find a wellmaintained dirt road which leads us to Longido village where we meet tarmac and ride through tarmac to our destination of Arusha. We might be escaping into few trails; this will depend on time where we could reach Longido village. We will arrive Arusha early before evening where you will take shower and being transported to the airport if you have a flight to catch the same evening. If not, you will be taken to the reserved accommodation

Alpha and the team are knowledgeable and well connected making our trip run without worries and there were solutions to all problems we encountered. Absolutely amazing. The destinations on the itinerary were amazing and the variation of riding terrain kept things exciting. It was also a topper that we got to see the Serengeti and our lodging was right in the middle which made for a unique experience. Anyways too many things to mention but overall an incredible ride. Thanks Alpha and Team for making our trip great. Till next time ✌️

For those who like dusty and twisty destinations - you will find all of them. I had fresh and well maintained Honda CRF300, love it. Great crew, guide and technical support. Wild life here in Serengeti and Ngorongoro Parks are out of this world. You could meet all of Big 5 here. Highly recommend.

The best motorbike travel i've ever had. Tour is well organised, bikes well maintained. Actually the best way to feel and explore wild Africa. Just avoid flying with Kenya airways.

This tour was amazing. The motorcycles were in great condition and a perfect fit for the roads and ride that was covered. The guides had a lot of experience with the terrains and it showed. All the accommodations and meals allowed us to rest well and recover between the riding days. Asante sana to Alpha, Alfi, David and Calvin for the experience of a lifetime! I would definitely recommend (and already have) for anyone who wants to see Tanzania through an adventure riders eye.

Just finished the 7 day Bush Baby trip. I went with 5 friends and we all had a great time. The guides worked had to make it a fun and successful trip, the accommodations and food were good every night. The route was interesting, we must have rode through 100 small villages and had a lot of varied terrain with limited tarmac. The riding was very good, harder than I was expecting but not too difficult. The motorcycles were not new but they ran well and when something did happen the guides were able to fix it and we kept moving. Overall a GREAT trip. Many thanks to Alpha and his team. Will
