Entebbe

Meeting at the Entebbe airport this day or the day before.

We'll make our first stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary – the only place in Uganda where rhinos can be encountered in their natural habitat. With the aid of park rangers, we'll embark on a rhino tracking excursion for an hour or two before continuing with our journey to Murchison Falls.

Masindi

Our next stop will be in Masindi town where we'll have our lunch and where Ernest Hemingway stayed in 1923 with his wife after their plane cracked up in the wilds near the Murchison Falls but they were picked up unhurt by a launch taking tourists to the falls. We'll also arrive safely at Murchison Falls National Park in the evening and rest in a nice lodge.

Murchison Falls National Park

Your second day of your drive through safari in Murchison Falls will begin with a game drive after having your breakfast. You will embark on a game drive in one of the park's famous game viewing tracks; the Albert track, Buligi track or the Victoria track. Also, the area around Nyamsika gorge and its cliffs has a high concentration of game. You will see various animals including four of the big fives; lions, elephants, leopards, and the cape buffaloes. After having lunch, you will head out for a boat cruise on the Victoria Nile. The sight and sound of the gushing and rushing waterfalls is soothing and breath-taking. As you sail upstream to the bottom of the falls, you will spot herds of hippos and crocodiles along the river banks.

After an early breakfast at the lodge, depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park, making a stopover for a water experiment at the Equator and another at Igongo Cultural center for lunch. Proceed to the Park arriving in the evening. Enjoy an evening game drive as you head to your accommodation at a nice lodge or safari tent.

Your drive through safari excursion will continue with a game drive after an early breakfast. You will head out to the renowned Kasenyi plains with an experienced game ranger. The plains are a mass of African savanna known for harboring the largest concentration of game as compared to any other section in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Besides being a habitat to big game and predators, the plains harbor various species of wetland birds.

After lunch and a brief rest before continuing with your drive through safari — embarking on another game drive in Ishasha region, though its well-maintained tracks. Ishasha is notably famous for its resident tree-climbing lions. You will also spot a variety of other wildlife: the Uganda kobs grazing in the plains, huge herds of buffaloes, numerous antelopes, elephants and hippos.

Kibale National Park

After early breakfast, you will set off for Kibale National Park, the home of the famous Chimpanzees. We offer two scenarios for this day, depending on your plans to visit Mgahinga National Park on other day or to skip it: First is to transfer to the Kibale Park headquarters for briefing before heading through the forest to search for chimpanzees in their natural habitat. You will come close to chimps and other primates like the red tailed monkeys, colobus monkeys and many more. The trek will enable you to see quite a number of primates, birds and butterflies through an arrangement of forest-sheltered trail.

Fort Portal

Second is to drive through Fort Portal, the "Tourism city of Uganda", and have lunch enroute. Driving through the traditional homesteads and farms will enable you enjoy the beautiful scenery across this part of the Country. Upon arrival, you could do an optional village walk for an insight into Uganda’s rich cultural heritage or simply relax and retire to your accommodation.

Mgahinga Gorilla National Park

We offer two scenarios for this day, depending on your plans to visit Mgahinga National Park or to skip it: First is to drive to Mgahinga for gorillas trekking early in the morning. Trekking gorillas is among the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. You'll be led by an experienced ranger who will tell you interesting facts about flora and fauna in the jungle and the lifestyle of the gorillas. Transferring to Kampala. Checking in a hotel.

Bigodi Wetlands Sanctuary

Second is to visit Bigodi Swamp nature walk. Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary situated in Magombe swamp is an appealing area to visit. The area is known for a wide range of biodiversity including species of primates such as red colobus monkey, black and white l'Hoest monkey, colobus monkey, grey cheeked, vervet monkey, mangabey, red tailed monkey, blue monkey and baboon. Mammals like sitatunga, bush pigs, bush bucks, otters, mongooses and chimpanzees also visit the swamp from Kibale National Park. Transferring to Kampala. Cheecking in a hotel.
