We take the highway, heading north of Chiang Mai to Chiang Dao, where we will have a relaxing lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, visit the Chiang Dao cave. Then ride along the fantastic mountainous road until reach Tha Ton, where you will visit the Wat Tha Ton on top of the mountains and enjoy the amazing sunset there. Later you relax in your charming accommodation with a fantastic panorama view.

After breakfast, we leave Tha Ton to visit the long-neck Karen tribe village near the border of Thailand and Myanmar. Ride to Doi Mae Salong, where Chinese mountain tea farmers live. Of course, you will test Thailand´s best tea there. Then back on curvy roads to Doi Tung Royal Villa. Visit the Winter Palace and the botanical garden. Lunch is served at the Royal’s Project restaurant. Continue along winding roads to Mae Sai, the northernmost point of Thailand. Reach the Golden Triangle to take a long-tail boat trip on the Mekong river and short visit a small village in Laos (no visa necessary). Visit the Opium museum before relaxing at your peaceful accommodation directly at the mighty Mekong River.

After breakfast, ride along a scenic farming area road to Chiang Rai city. After that visit the famous White Temple (Wat Rong Khun) one of the top 10 wonder temples in the world. Lunch is served at a local restaurant. Ride the exhilarating, mountainous highway to Nan. Visit Wat Phra That Khao Noi (Nan hilltop scenic temple) before relaxing in your lovely accommodation and jump in the swimming pool. Later you will discover and enjoy Nan´s night-life.

After breakfast, we leave Nan riding through winding mountainous roads via the famous and motorcycle paradise road R1081 the Bo Kluea. Here we will visit the Bo Kluea salt wells. Then we continue through Doi Phu Kha National Park to Chiang Klang where we will have lunch in a local restaurant. Ride the exhilarating, mountainous highway No. 1148 to Nan, ranked in the Top 10 as one of the most fun biking roads to be found anywhere in the world. 120 kilometers of up and down curves through the impressive mountains providing you with pure riding pleasure. Then we cruise along the highway R1021 through farming areas to Phayao. Discover Kwan Phayao Lake, which is one of the biggest lakes in Thailand. The town of Phayao at the southeast corner of the lake. Then we arrive and relax at the charming accommodation.

After breakfast, leaving unseen Phayao. Ride first south a bit on the main highway and use later the back roads via Mae Yom National Park. Later ride again fantastic motorcycle dream roads and enjoy the breathtaking scenery of Khun Sathan National Park. Lunch is served in the middle of nowhere with a million-dollar view at a local restaurant. Highlight this day will be, of course, crossing the Sirikit lake. We take the motorbikes on a wooden ferry across the Sirikit dam reservoir. Sirikit dam is the largest earth dam in Thailand. Then we continue on the highway passing through rice fields until we reach charming Uttaradit. It is a small city near Lampang and a few kilometers away from Denchai. Very few tourists come here to visit the area, but Uttaradit city and its surroundings worth coming to. If you want to see authentic Thailand, the one not many tourists see, you definitely have to come here. Later you enjoy the beautiful accommodation with a swimming pool.

After breakfast, we leave Uttaradit riding again on backroads and passing through massive rice fields until we reach Sukhothai. A short day of riding gives us plenty of time to discover one of the highlights of this amazing motorcycle tour: the Ancient Sukhothai Historical Park, designated world heritage site number 574 on 12 December 1991 by UNESCO, and enjoy the amazing sunset in the old ruins. A magical and memorable scene. Later you arrive at the guest house, where you enjoy the charming classic wooden Thai accommodation with a swimming pool.

After breakfast, we leave Sulhothai riding again biker´s paradise roads via the “Columnar Mountains” road R101 to Den Chai, visit a large reclining Buddha. Then riding through winding mountainous roads to Lampang. Lunch is served at a local restaurant. Continue riding pass through national parks and farming areas. Visit local market, stopping for refreshment, before heading back to Chiang Mai.

5.00Itinerary, service, knowledge of roads and Thai culture supreme! Great price structure considering all accommodation, food, fuel and tourist attraction fees included. Accommodation could not be better, food prodigious and out of this world. Staff gave of themselves freely and consistently. Very competent, professional organization in all aspects.

5.00Simply the Best. 8 days of sheer pleasure. Big Bikes seamlessly provide a service that is second to none. No detail is missed, nothing is overlooked, professional from the second I arrived at Chaing Mai Airport until the time I left. Good quality well maintained bikes, great Hotels, food and the true star of the tour was Pong, our guide/leader. Pong is totally professional, considerate, well organised and most importantly he is a very kind person. Thanks for a great time, its a long way from the UK but I will be back.
Awesome ride, can't wait to do another one.

5.00Pong was our guide and he did a great job organizing meals and ensuring they were ready for the group for lunch and dinner every day. He made the ride fun by setting just the right pace and the one day we had wet roads he slowed down and I really appreciated his caution. All the motorcycles were in great condition and ran perfect.

5.00Fantastic 2nd tour with Big Bike Tours. If you are considering a tour in Thailand, look no further, these guys are the real deal and make everything easy. From airport pickup, all accommodation, food, coffee, motorcycles, fuel, guide and support vehicle, Big Bike Tours made everything perfect for us just to enjoy the ride stress free. It had been 5 years since we last did a tour, and I was impressed that they have continued to improve by elevating the hotel standards, and restaurants used in the tour. The bikes were faultless, with good tyres, but should you have a problem, the support vehicle which carries your luggage, and delivers water at every stop, will sort mechanical issues. Our guide was OHM, a young, polite, and very knowledgeable local who was a very safe and skilled rider. OHM, looked after us on the road and at each stop and was always available to help or answer any questions. He recognised the different rider skills and abilities and kept everyone happy during the ride. 100% I would tour with the company again. Their knowledge of the fantastic roads in Thailand, what to see, and organisation is 2nd to none. Thank you OHM and the Big Bike Tours team for another memorable experience!

5.00The company is the most professional we've ever been on tour with. And the price it's more than competitive. The tour is really nice, it shows that north Thailand isn't a backward jungle, it's a place with very friendly people, internet and great roads. Do not worry about the traffic. The roads around Nan is why motorcycles were invented.

5.00This is our second trip with Big Bike Tours now, our first being two years ago…. A five day ride which was so good we came back for a longer ride! The choice of bikes available are excellent, a really great team at base and on the road ensure that the bikes are kept serviced and in good condition. All the bikes are with either a top box or tank bag for this little items. Once on the road, Koppi, Chao & Pong quickly establish the level that people ride to and adjust to suit that level while considering and helping a slower perhaps less confident rider in the group. Water at every stop and plenty of them - allows your to take your helmet off and just smile and say how great that last section was!! Then get ready for the next section!! Awesome roads, great tarmac that puts the UK to shame! We have met some great people and kept in touch with some from the last ride and made new pals on this ride! Lots of like minded people from all areas of the world made the trip for us! Decent hotels and food, just can’t fault the tour and looking to come back for a third ride and longer still !!!! Big Bike Tours is truly the land of smiles….. ok so is Thailand! Well done guys!

5.00Had a great trip with Big Bike Tours (Thailand). Great roads, scenery, people, especially our tour guides Noah and Yai, who couldn't do enough for us. The bikes were excellent and more than up to the task. BBT are a very well organised tour company and I recommend them to any experienced rider, it was a great experience.
