  -Tour Itinerary 4/5 Good mix of activities and down time Our guides ( Rania and Salama) were both happy to accommodate any adjustments to our plans and proactive in offering additional and alternative activities. The extra stops at the papyrus store and perfume and oil makers were nice. Morning activity times would be good to specify, as some of these were 4am wake ups which affects the energy levels available through the day. Before setting sail on the cruise we had an excursion to a Nubian village, very scenic and peaceful, a really nice beach spot and very lovely to do privately as a couple. The cruise itself is a very relaxing and beautiful journey along the Nile and provides a lot of time to relax in between touring temples. There was a loss of most of a day due to the delays at the Esna lock. Although this is not in the control of the tour company, it was slightly frustrating to not know this until the day and meant we got up earlier the next day to include all visits and were more rushed. On this day the itinerary included an early morning excursion which we happily switched out for an additional tomb visit at the valley of the kings. Ultimately the tour covers all the major sights to see, we definitely had our fill of ancient temples, pyramids and tombs! -Transportation 5/5 Great service, felt very safe and looked after in private air conned vans where ever we went Despite early domestic flight everything was arranged for us including packed breakfast and Even managed to fly business class which was nice touch (arranged by Hussain airport liaison in Cairo with no additional cost) Accomodation 4/5 Cairo 5* (Sheraton) was lovely, central and great views right by the Nile. Many different restaurant options open late which was useful when we had early/late transfers. There is a nightclub downstairs which might be great for some travellers, I was happy not to hear this from our room though. Cruise quality overall was about 3/5 especially when compared to the quality of the other stays. Most staff were friendly, room had a leak but was quickly addressed. WIFI on cruise was available but very overpriced and was only useable in the foyer. Recommend prearranging sim and relying on this for connectivity. 2nd Cairo hotel (Le meridian) was functional as an airport hotel without feeling like the airport was right next door. Amazing beds, room service and bathroom. We didn’t get a chance to use the pool but it was large and had deep sections -Guides 5/5 We had Rania in Cairo and Salama for our Aswan-Luxor leg and both were incredible guides, giving us private tours and taking the time when we were more interested in seeing certain things. Salama made sure to give us lots of other optional excursions to make sure we weren’t missing out whilst prioritising our comfort and ease. Both were excellently knowledgeable and passionate about the culture and history of Egypt.

  Wow, wow, wow. Amazing trip. We have always been taught that if something sounds too good to be true, to avoid it. Not this time!!! We read the amazing reviews for Egypt Ultimate Tours and worried they could not be that incredible. Well, they exceeded ALL expectations. Very professional team. Always prompt and courteous. Private tour is literally private tour. Our own vehicles, our own guides, made any adjustments needed. Mohamed and team were first class. You won’t be disappointed. We will make sure all of our friends and family know about this great tour company. I have never dared go on a hot air balloon before and it was so safe and beautiful. Don’t miss Abu Simbel!!! Cruise, pyramids, museums, sphinx, everything!!! Such a professional team. Maram, Mokmud, Hussein, Noor, Hani, Ahmed etc. Everyone was amazing!!! Thank you for making our Egypt trip absolutely perfect. Hope to see you all again next trip!!!

• Great Tour with Egypt Unlimited

  We had a great experience with Egypt Unlimited Tours. Mohammed the owner of the company took care of all the details and was extremely responsive to our inquiries. From the moment we were picked up from Cairo airport to the time we were dropped back for our flight back home, Mohammed and his team provided personalized service to us and facilitated us perfectly. We did not have to worry about airport transfers or airline tickets etc. Mohamed also upgraded our hotel stay from Remeses to Sheraton which was fantastic. All our guides were Egyptologist. They were extremely knowledgeable, kind and considerate. Our guide Shaymaa in Cairo was amazing. Very knowledgeable and with great communication skills, she was a pleasure to be around. Our guide Azzaaz on the cruise from Aswan to Luxor was very kind and knowledgeable and was with us constantly guiding us and taking care of all our needs. After the 8 day tour ended we also took a private overnight tour to Alexandria with Egypt Unlimited Tours. Our guide Eslam and our driver Mohammad were wonderful. Our stay was in a fantastic hotel/resort with great location overlooking the mediterranean ocean. Unfortunately my husband got sick in Alexandria and was having difficulty handling the excursions. Both our guide and driver were extremely kind and considerate and rearranged our excursions at a slow and easy pace so that we were able to enjoy the beautiful city of Alexandria despite my husband’s illness. My husband and I are Senior Citizens and health issues are a major concern during our travels. It was comforting for us to know that in case of health issues we could refer to Mohammad and his team for guidance and help in obtaining medical assistance. I cannot thank Mohammed, our tour operator and his team, enough for the fabulous service we got during our trip. We definitely recommend this tour company to all.

  We had a wonderful experience travelling to Egypt with this private tour group. Everything was very well organised — the hotels were comfortable, the meals were great, and the whole trip ran smoothly. Our tour guide was truly outstanding. He is knowledgeable, patient, and always willing to help. You could really feel the passion and care throughout the journey. Thank you for making our Egypt trip so memorable.   Great experience overall. Positives : *Very well looked after by the local tour company staff with excellent meet & greet, transfers etc... * Personal guides for us on all visits including the cruise, which allows for some flexibility on schedule and all, which is not possible in a group. Excellent quality guides speaking perfect english and very knowledgeable * Stay at Sheraton in Cairo was great * We got to visit (almost) all main sites and had an enjoyable boat experience ( good food, nice sceneries,..) Negative/possible improvement * Pick up for the flight from Cairo to Aswan was at 3:30am which was very early and not warranted - we traveled business class however so thanks for that "compensation" * the cruise schedule could be improved : we stayed 24h+ in Aswan when we could have sailed earlier and from there everything was in a rush. We skipped the visit of Edfu as it was scheduled at 5 am. That early schedule was meant so as to arrive early at Esna lock. We ended up spending the whole day at the lock due to the huge traffic and missed the visits we had scheduled at Luxor that day. We ended up not being able to visit the Luxor temple

  Highly recommend a private tour with egyptologist guide to understand what is really meant visiting this ancient sites. All your questions will be answered by a professional. Mostafa was our guide for 4 days Nile river cruise. He had great knowledge about the Egypt ancient history. Wherever he took us, we learned a lot of history. After he went through histories, he asked how long we like to have our own time to walk through and take pictures. When we ask how long we have. His answer is always up to you. He is pretty much flexible. In addition, he always stop by and purchase cold water bottles. He made our trips very memorable. Plus, he also took a lot of photos of us.

  Viator was very responsive to inquiries during and after the booking. They helped with schedule changes and got us the upgrade that we requested. The local company, Egypt Unlimited, was very good. They had representative meeting us at airports and helped with visa and immigration. Hotels were 5-star as requested. Local guides were very polite, courteous, knowledgeable and very accommodating. Especially when I requested wheel chair due to my physical condition. All in all a wonderful experiences. Will highly recommend to friends. Only thing was some very early departure schedule, which couldn't be help due to river cruise time table.

  Sights were fantastic, but our tour guides were not. Both had fairly heavy accents. One spoke so fast it was hard to take in. The other had trouble understanding our questions; had to repeat or rephrase several times. He would quickly run through some highlights of a site and then leave us on our own to"expore" for most of the time. Not sure whether he was just checked out or simply had very limited knowledge of the attractions. Also, the food on the boat, although plentiful, was mediocre, especially the desserts all bland.

  We had a wonderful experience with Egypt Unlimited Tours. It truly was a 5 star tour. They took care of us providing personalized service from the time we stepped off the plane in Cairo until we boarded for our return home. Accommodations were all 5 star including our Nile cruise ship MS Medea. There were four of us and we were so happy that we chose this tour when we saw the large crowds on other tours jostling each other to get close to the major attractions. We were able to tailor our days to our specific interests. Our guides were the best. We had Harris with us in Cairo and Mustafa with us starting in Aswan until we boarded the plane in Luxor for our return to Cairo. We learned so much not just about the history but also the spiritual relevance of the sites we visited. We also were treated to the favorite local cuisines of our guides and best shopping areas. Our grand finale was after hours private entry to all chambers inside the Great Pyramid that Mohammed was able to arrange for us at our cost. If you want a personalized 5 star experience and to learn more than just the facts about the pyramids of Egypt we highly recommend this tour.

  Very expensive company that changes the basic program. We had to go down the Nile in the Miriam boat (which vaguely justified the price of the agency), but in the end we ended up in a much lower quality boat and an unkind crew (except one of the chefs) At the level of guides, throughout the stay, we had three different ones: two excellent and one that just recited the history book and was relatively contemptuous. The downside of agency guides is that they always point us towards shops often linked to them and at much higher prices than in other places. The advice I could give is to run from the agencies. Transport is cheap and easy to access (Uber, shuttle via hotels or tours directly on site). Admissions are not expensive on site or via the Internet. And at the guide level, you can find them on the Internet too. This will avoid conflicts on the phone to try to motivate them to stick to the program and prevent your wallet from emptying for no real reason. And it will also avoid being mistaken for idiots with dubious excuses just to justify their scams or incompetence.
