Our Wildlife & Snowshoeing adventure offers an authentic winter experience that combines the wildness of Grand Teton National Park and the discovery of the ecology and wildlife that make it unique. We’ll spend the first half of the day on a snowshoe adventure in Grand Teton National Park. While we are exploring the backcountry we will keep an eye out for animal tracks and signs, discussing topics like winter ecology and snow science. In the field you will be treated to a variety of high quality snacks. We’ll take a break for lunch and switch gears in the afternoon to focus on viewing wildlife. Sit back and relax in our fully outfitted safari style rig as we pursue wildlife such as bighorn sheep, elk, moose, deer, coyote, fox, eagles, trumpeter swans and more. Your local guide and naturalist will lead discussions on topics of your interest and provide you with ample time to take photographs. When booking the group option you will enjoy a leisurely pace when snowshoeing. For private offerings we can accommodate any energy level.

Fantastic day wildlife spotting and snowshoeing through the woods with Ricky!

5.00This full day tour was absolutely fantastic with Ricky! He was not only incredibly knowledgeable and interesting but a super fun guy as well. The vehicle was amazing, fully equipment with hot coffee, drinks and snacks for the entire day. We spent the morning wildlife spotting which was really cool - saw wolf, elk, deer, moose, antelope, bison and coyote (and learned so much about them!). Stopped for lunch at this beautiful lodge with panoramic views and we were the only ones there! Then spent the afternoon snowshoeing through the woods, blazing our own path on untouched snow looking for animal tracks. It was a bluebird day and there were tracks everywhere so it was just phenomenal. We experienced nature in a whole new way and will never walk through the woods the same again. It was the perfect combination of relaxation and activity. Take this tour and request Ricky - you will not be disappointed! Ask him to take you to his “bear tree”!!

5.00My wife and I were lucky enough to get a guide all to ourselves. Drew was awesome! He was easygoing and really knowledgeable of the wildlife and the area. We traveled comfortably in a nice SUV with roof hatches to allow for viewing while standing in the vehicle. The snowshoeing was a nice experience even though there wasn’t a lot of snow. We especially enjoyed seeing all the wildlife. Throughout the day, we saw wolves, a pronghorn, trumpet swans, bull elk, moose, bald eagles, and big horn sheep. Drew took some close up videos of the various animals through his scope and give them to us. He took us to lunch to a restaurant called Dornans. It was a great place for us to take a short break and get to know each other. This was overall a great experience that was well worth the price we paid. I highly recommend this for anyone visiting Jackson Hole. Thank you Drew and Eco Tours!

5.00I had an amazing day snowshoeing for the first time while my family skied. Our guide Ryan was rock solid and made me feel comfortable and welcome as a solo female passenger. We saw a river otter, many many elk, deer, moose and even a red fox. Ryan was super informative and I learned so much about Jackson. It felt so great snowshoeing in the National Park and off the beaten path. There’s no way I could have done this on my own, or had as much fun. Highly recommend!!

5.00The tour company to book for your Jackson Hole/Grand Teton experience. Our guide, Bill Fabian, was a nonstop wealth of knowledge. We booked the combo snowshoeing and wildlife viewing adventure and it is the way to go. We could never have created the same experience on our own.

5.00Let’s start with the best and just keep it rolling. Two of us met up with Billy at 8a to start our whole day adventure. Billy was willing to roll with it all… i.e. the airlines still having our insulated boots somewhere in the Atlanta area. Billy altered the tour to accommodate uninsulated dress shoes while showing us a great time. We were also woefully not acclimated to the elevation (rookie mistake) Nevertheless Billy masterfully guided us through the entire day showing and explaining to us all that there was one be known about the flora and fauna. We were brought into Teton National park and the Gros Ventre Wilderness, fully immersed in the natural habitat. We saw animals of all sizes and categories. He really tried to get us to see canines… A few days later we ended up seeing wolves (not coyotes) thanks to a great scope and a great deal of luck. We threw so many questions at him and he answered them all with ease and mastery. If you have the pleasure of going on a tour go with this operation. If you have the luck, go with Billy. Cannot wait to come back and perhaps do a summer 12hr Yellowstone tour. When it comes to this tour F.I.B.I (F it. Book it)

5.00An Absolutely Amazing Day! We met Laura, our tour guide with EcoTour Adventures, at our hotel. She was so impressive. She has incredible knowledge of the area and drove us around in search of wildlife. With her keen eye we were able to see elk, long horn sheep, coyotes eating an elk carcass, birds and and mule deer. She will give you binoculars to use and at each sighting she pulls out a powerful lens so that viewing the animals feels up close and personal. She took us cross country skiing and snowshoeing in GTNP. She is so patient and encouraging for first timers trying to get their ski legs. She taught us some survival skills… how to build a snow shelter… while we were out snowshoeing through the ungroomed areas of GTNP. Laura is so accommodating. She had snacks and warm drinks and even brought rain jackets for us to wear due to the weather conditions. She will teach you a multitude of things about area wildlife and will help you learn new outdoor athletic skills. She is a very accomplished skier… ask her about who she really is and about her ski touring history. If you are in Jackson for only a limited amount of time and are looking to get out and explore the area on snowshoes and cross country skis, I would recommend setting up a private tour with her. We were able to snowshoe, cross country ski and go to the National Elk Refuge with her all in one day. This company provides door to door service so no need for wasted driving time. LAURA is the ONE to ASK for… you will LOVE her cheerfulness and endless knowledge!

5.00Rob was AMAZING! We had the best day!! I highly recommend this tour when you are in the area. The snow shoeing was a blast! We saw elk, bison, moose, eagles, swans, coyotes, big horned sheep and a fox! It truly was the best day. I can’t recommend enough. Having Rob as a guide made it only better!
