The excursion begins with a visit to the old fishing village of ‘Taqah’, famous for the manufacture of ‘Dried Sardines’ & its traditional & old ‘Dhofari Houses’.
Visit the century old ‘Taqah Castle’, the former official residence of the ‘Wali’ (Governor) of the region & obtain a glimpse into the rich history of the region.
Continue onto the ancient ruins of the once famous city of Sumharam (Khor Rohri). Khor Rori was an important port on the coast of Dhofar, and one of the major trading cities with frankincense,
(UNESCO World Heritage site). A picturesque drive then leads you to explore the ‘ever green Wadi Darbat’ for a relaxing stroll along the Wadi bed, surrounded by herds of Camels, Goats & Cattle.ON WEST OF SALALAH visit beach of Mughsail where the white sand, where waves burst through the natural titanic ‘Blow Holes’. See the historical ‘Frankincense trees’ growing in their natural habitat.

Wadi Darbat
Wadi Darbat is a splendid lush green valley with a river running through the middle. The surrounding hills have small caves which people can hike up to. It's the perfect spot for a little family picnic, or a friendly gathering. During the Khareef (monsoon season), the wadi is packed with locals and tourists that have come to enjoy the scenery
The ancient ruins of the once famous city of Sumharam (Khor Rohri). The city was the easternmost outpost of the Hadramawt Kingdom on the ancient incense route between the Mediterranean Sea, Persian Gulf and India. Khor Rori was an important port on the coast of Dhofar, and one of the major trading cities with frankincense, believed to have been the hub & harbor for the shipping of Frankincense (UNESCO World Heritage site).

5.00I really enjoyed my time with the tour guide. They were welcoming, generous, and kind. I learned about local culture and visited many of the area’s top attractions, including: Full day — east of Salalah: Taqah Beach, Taqah Plateau, the anti-gravity site, Ayn Ashir (spring water), baobab trees, Jebel Samhan Plateau, and Wadi Darbat. Full day — west of Salalah: Mughsail Blowholes, frankincense trees, Fazqyah Beach, flamingos, and Aftalkat. I felt safe and well looked after. I will definitely travel with this tour organization again.

5.00Swimming in a beach just for us with fine white sand is priceless khalid our guide took us to see all the beaches then asked us to choose and put a parasol with snacks available to us. Always attentive to every need, very kind and a great guide took us to see the quarries with gaisers and dromedaries.

5.00Booked an airport transfer and three full-day trips with Glory Tours — and they nailed it from start to finish. We were welcomed at the airport with open arms, beautiful flowers, and a driver who made the journey to the hotel fly by with his local stories. But the real star? Khalid Al Mahri. I was travelling with two kids, and he went above and beyond every single day — bringing water, tea, snacks, and endless patience. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring, he made sure we had everything we needed and more. The excursions were perfectly organised, relaxed yet packed with experiences. 5.00Just finished an amazing tour with Glory Tours in Salalah! We explored both the East and West of Salalah, and our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and flexible with the schedule. After the tour, he even took us to a local restaurant where the food was absolutely delicious—a spot only the locals know about!
