Mursi Village

Drive in wide savannah plains 72km from turmi to omorate to visit the Dasenech tribe is one of the southernmost tribes of Ethiopia, living along the lower stretches of the Omo River near the border with Kenya. They are a semi-nomadic people, whose lifestyle revolves around cattle herding, floodplain agriculture, and fishing in the seasonal waters of the Omo River. The contrast between dry land and green riverbanks makes the scenery very special. In the morning, cross to the other side of the Omo River to visit the Karo tribe at Korcho, one of the most scenic villages in the Omo Valley. The Karo, one of the smallest ethnic groups in the region, are renowned as masters of body painting, using natural pigments like white chalk, ochre, charcoal, and minerals to create intricate patterns inspired by nature. Addis Ababa
