  This was our second visit and it will never get boring. The respect that everyone has for the welfare of the elephants is second to none. Just pure and simply up close to elephants watching them do what an elephant should do. No gimmicks Would highly recommend

  The sanctuary was completely ethical The are authentic and at the tour. The elephants welfare comes first. It was an incredible close-up experience of the elephants. The whole experience was touching and beautiful. You have time to see the elephants behave naturally.

  A fantastic experience to see these majestic elephants living out a peaceful retirement in the care of The hidden Sanctuary. Lunch above the lagoon was very special as 5 of elephants were cooling-off in the water. They all looded very content.

  We had a memorable visit to Hidden Forest elephant reserve while spending holiday time at Katathani Resort recently. We were picked up at the hotel,given refreshments on arrival & then an informative educational talk about the history of the elephants & their teeth & habits. Then we had to opportunity to feed them bananas & followed by them up the mountain to different feeding platforms. It was so wonderful watching these magnificent animals in their safe natural environment & lots of photos were taken. We finished off with a delicious vegetarian lunch in the mountains watching the elephants play in the watering hole. The staff were all terrific & obviously love their jobs.   Hidden Forest Elephant Reserve was, without doubt, one of the most special experiences of our entire trip to Thailand. From the moment we arrived, everything felt calm, respectful, and genuinely focused on the elephants’ wellbeing. There is no riding, no chains, and no forced interaction — just rescued elephants living peacefully in a beautiful natural environment. You can really see how much care, love, and knowledge the team has for these animals. Feeding the elephants was an incredible experience, but what stood out most was being able to simply observe them — watching their personalities, how they interact with each other, and seeing them relaxed and happy. The guides were excellent: informative, passionate, and happy to answer questions without ever rushing the experience. The setting itself is stunning, tucked away in nature and far from the crowded, commercialised attractions. It felt authentic, ethical, and very well run. Everything was organised smoothly, and we felt safe, welcome, and completely at ease throughout. To top it all off, the Thai food buffet was a perfect end to the afternoon — delicious, fresh, and a lovely way to relax and reflect on such a meaningful experience. If you are visiting Phuket and want a truly ethical elephant experience that you can feel good about, Hidden Forest Elephant Reserve is absolutely the place to go. • A Moving experience with Elephants

  We spent a wonderful morning at the Hidden Forest Elephant Reserve, learning about the elephants and the situations they were rescued from, having a controlled feeding experience, and then walking through the reserve observing them go about their lives with freedom and dignity. The lunch they provided was delicious and situated by the bathing pools so we had a close up view of the elephants enjoying their water time! A very impactful experience that I highly recommend!

  We had an amazing day at the sanctuary and would highly recommend it to anyone. The staff are so friendly and they do an excellent job explaining the life and livelihood of Thai elephants. We loved meeting Granny, Princess, and the other elephants. Seeing Princess play in the water made our day. The lunch was delicious too. If you’re looking for an ethical elephant sanctuary in Phuket, this is the place to go!

  First of all….This is a must!!! Lovely place to visit and amazing team who run it. Communication was great and picked up on time. Welcome meeting was great and the guides were fantastic along with being very knowledgeable. You can really see how well the elephants are looked after. The lunch was perfect, watching the elephants bathe while eating was a great experience and the food was brilliant. Honestly we couldn’t fault it.
