  Khulan was an excellent guide and teacher , answering all of our many questions about life in Mongolia and impressing on us its rich cultural heritage. Our best day in Mongolia. Highly recommended.

  Our tour guide Khulan was very patient and knowledgeable, spoke good English, and answered all our questions, allowing us to have a more objective understanding of Mongolian culture and all aspects of life. She was very patient and attentive in taking care of us, and never left us feeling bored. We had a great time throughout the trip with several other solo travelers.

  This tour exceeded every expectation. The day began with a journey out to the breathtaking Genghis Khan Equestrian Statue, the largest of its kind in the world. Walking up through the museum and then standing atop the horse’s head offered a panoramic view that was both powerful and humbling. From there, we traveled into Terelj National Park, where the iconic Turtle Rock and the serenity of nature surrounded us. We explored beautifully painted Buddhist carvings set into stone and spent time in a traditional Mongolian ger (yurt), where a local family welcomed us with homemade dishes. Lunch was a true highlight — steaming plates of buuz (Mongolian dumplings), fried dough balls, dried curd snacks, and a warm bowl of suutei tsai (milk tea) made right over the stove. We even got to see the dumplings steaming and bubbling in real time. The day was peaceful, immersive, and full of cultural richness — from riding sturdy Mongolian horses to sharing stories over a traditional meal in a cozy home. If you’re in Ulaanbaatar, do not miss this experience. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to understand the heart of Mongolia beyond just sightseeing.

  Fantastic 1 Day tour. Was picked up right on time. Car was Lexus SUV. Very comfortable and safe. Tour Guide spoke perfect English and was extremely knowledgeable about Mongolia. Lunch at the nomadic family was delicious. Sights were beautiful even in the winter at -26C. The day just flew by and was a very memorable experience.

  Like everyone has already mentioned, Khulan is a fantastic guide who answered every single question I had and always knew how to make things more interesting. She is such a knowledgeable, kind, and an exciting person to be around and I’m so glad she was my tour guide (though her last guest for the season)! I was alone but still felt so welcomed and was never bored! The tour itself was full of history, nature, and delicious food, really being able to immerse yourself to the environment. So much fun! Definitely do this tour if you are in Ulaanbaatar!
