Old Town
The Old Town is not only the historical part of Warsaw. It must be remembered that until the end of the 18th century, Warsaw included only the Old Town, so called Old Warsaw. The New Town, formerly known as New Warsaw, was incorporated later. Previously, these were two separate cities, each of them had its own coat of arms. Old Warsaw Mermaid, New Warsaw Lady with a Unicorn. During our trip we will see, among others, the column of King Sigismund III Vasa in front of the Royal Castle, formerly the castle of Masovian dukes. From there, we will go to the Cathedral of St. John, where we will see the tombs of Masovian dukes. We will visit the Museum of Warsaw where we can admire the historic mermaid, saved from the Warsaw Uprising. We will go through the Barbican, which was the former fortification separating New and Old Warsaw. We will see the historic bell at the Kanonia square. Finally, we will see Chopin’s heart embedded in the Church of the Holly Cross.

5.00I wanted to see Warsaw with a guide in order to notice actually what can be seen. I felt the guide adapted the program to our interests. Very special to be in the crypt of one of the churches and to feel the aura of the Newtown. Take good walking shoes because you are making miles.

5.00A walk through the Old Town with the guide, Mr Cezary Gembarzewski, was a really great experience and definitely worth recommending to everyone. From the very beginning, you could feel the professionalism and passion of the guide, who was able to talk about history, architecture and local curiosities in an extremely interesting way. The itinerary was well planned - it included the most important sights, but also less obvious places that would be difficult to get to on your own. As a result, the tour was not a boring "ticking off points", but a real journey through time. I particularly enjoyed the anecdotes and stories from the lives of former residents, which gave the whole walk a unique atmosphere. The atmosphere was also a huge plus - everything was done in a relaxed, friendly manner, with opportunities to ask questions and short breaks for photos or a rest. The guide was able to adapt the pace to the group, which made everyone feel comfortable. All in all, it was a very worthwhile and enjoyable tour. Ideal for both first-time visitors and those who want to rediscover the city. Definitely recommended!

5.00A very nice guide with great knowledge of the Stare Miasto. We went throug all jewish part, including the ghetto, the monument to the Warsaw Uprising, the monument to the Ghetto uorising, the Central sinagogue, the Polin museu. Saw also the uprisings museu of the Warsaw town and the ghetto’s, the churches and castles. I do reccomend the visit. And was impressed eith the guide.

5.00I expected a typical sightseeing tour, but this was something else. Our guide showed us hidden corners, explained how the city was rebuilt, and even shared personal memories from his family. It felt honest, emotional and beautifully told.

5.00The tour guide was great. He had a real gift of telling about history and monuments. Thanks to him i fallen in love with renessaice tenement houses in the Old Town Square. Now i know why Old Town is signed on the list of UNESCO.

5.00Thanks to my guide i learned a lot about Warsaw. He had a real gift telling about history and monuments. I fallen in love in reneissance tenement houses. I didnt know everthing was rebuilt after the war with all details. Know i know why Old Town is on the UNESCO list.
