Experience the magic of GPS playback on this immersive stroll through Duluth's Canal Park. On this self-guided audio tour, you'll dive into the city's past, like when Canal Park stood under 450 feet of water.

Duluth is a one-of-a-kind, inland port city, which serves as a gateway to the north shore of Lake Superior. Its long history is reflected in Canal Park, a formerly run-down industrial zone and one of the city’s thriving centers for recreation today.

You’ll find out how, when a local businessman rattled Duluth by moving his Pizza Roll factory to Ohio, his son would go on to play a role in Canal Park’s economic revival. I’ll tell you about the famous Glensheen murders that were made into a musical, and about fish that are almost as old as Duluth Itself. You’ll hear about Duluth’s shipping heritage, the founding and naming of the city, and the building of the Duluth Ship Canal. You’ll then head down South Lake Avenue to finish our tour at the Minnesota Slip Bridge.

I have tried to contact trip advisor about the fact that the narration on our earphones thru my iphone kept cutting out with several sentences missing. Searching the web pages for contact info produced nothing.
Great, fun, easy way to get to know Duluth.

Interesting and informative tour, very easy to follow. The tour app is really great. Recorded tour was fun, guide is very knowledgeable. My husband and I really enjoyed getting to know the area this way.

The canal is wonderful to see day or night and if you're lucky you'll get to see it in action when boat/ships come in. --Pro-tip, park and eat at Grandmas' Grill for the best food after a quick walk around (their wait time can be up to 30+ minutes)
Excellent north shore stop.

We were on our way to the north shore, and thought this would be a great way to spend an hour in canal park. Definitely worth the stop!

This tour was excellent! I've always loved Canal Park, but had no idea it had so much history. This really brought it to life in a fun way.
