Traditional Lunch
You’ll be picked up in Peja and taken on a scenic drive into the heart of the Rugova Mountains, where you’ll arrive at the cozy Chalet Kujta – a secluded wooden house surrounded by nature. Once there, you’ll enjoy a guided tasting of 3 or more local wines, including Vranac, Cabernet, and other traditional Kosovar varieties. Alongside the wines, you’ll sample several authentic homemade dishes prepared on-site, such as local cheeses, suxhuk (smoked sausage), pickled vegetables, traditional pies, and warm bread. Your local host will share stories about Kosovo’s food and wine culture, giving you a unique cultural insight while you relax in a warm, private mountain setting. Weather permitting, you’ll also have the chance for a short walk or photo stop in the stunning Rugova Canyon before heading back to Peja.
