• Great diving experience on the GBR

  Three of us spent three days diving the GBR with ABC Reef Safaris and were very happy with our decision. We are two divemasters and one rescue diver. We chose ABC after carefully researching options to visit remote parts of the reef that are out of reach of the Cairns boats, and as an alternative to a more crowded multi day liveaboard option. The entire operation was first class. We were the only boat at the dive sites on all three days. We dove from both of their boats and both skippers (Tahn and Jeff) were total pros and engaged with the guests. Our divemaster, Zoe, was a marine biologist with tons of knowledge of the corals and fish. She worked with the captains to ensure we had good dive experiences commensurate with our diving ability and experience. We dove in small groups (sometimes just the three of us and Zoe). We saw a wide variety of beautiful and healthy hard corals, many species of fish, nurse shark, octopus, wobbegone shark, giant clams, cuttlefish and green turtles. The snacks and lunch in between and after the dives was excellent, and they were able to accommodate my gluten free, lactose free diet. The rest of the staff were also amazing — Antonella, Canu, Alex, Harry, Yasmine — each and every one of them made a point to engage with us. ABC is not the cheapest option, but based on our research and our experience with them I suspect they are the best.

  We went diving for the first time and felt totally safe ! The whole crew was incredibly nice and accommodating. It was a totally great trip and we would do it right back. The tour was worth every penny.

  We found the Great Barrier Reef tour in an online down in our bnb building and saw the reviews are the highest in Port Douglas. True to those reviews it was one of the best planned and best run adventures on the planet. It's pricier than the cattle car tours and well worth the extra cost for 8 to 3 in a late 2025 boat. On board and in the water, the crew and equipment are top-notch. They are cheerful and informative but never intrusive. They're friends now if we return. The food was gourmet. And the number of guests is small and comfortable. Highly recommended.

  

  

  

• Personal tour of the reef

  Wonderful experience for the reef! Boat is clean, new and well run. There was only myself and one other diver so Zoe gave us an awesome tour of the reef introducing us to as many of the species of fish, shark, sea turtle and other life. Highly recommended!

  

• An Amazing Day at the Great Barrier Reef

  The captain and crew were amazing! We were in a group of four with a crew member when we went snorkeling by the reef. He was so patient and knowledgeable and made sure we were okay at all times. The food was delicious and we had lots of snacks before lunch and brownies for dessert! The captain took us to the best spots! We had an incredible day visiting the Great Barrier Reef!   I was lucky enough to join 4 guests from the US on a charter to the reef. Jeff, Zoe, Matt and Yasmin looked after us so very well. Nothing was too much trouble both in and out of the water. We felt safe with Jeff at the helm and the remainder of the team took great care of us in and out of the water. The conditions were not the best and so we spent the afternoon at Low Isles which was much more pleasant for everyone. There was constant offerings of food and drink throughout the day. I would highly recommend a charter with this company if you wish to escape the crowds and have the flexibility of making the day your own.

  The experience was awesome! While it is a bit more expensive than other tours, it is 100% worth it. Myself any my partner spent 3 days diving with Alex ( she is AWESOME and super knowledgeable 💯) and we were at most a group of 5 total, which made experience that much more enjoyable. The crew was super fun and very thoughtful ( Tahn the captain, Nico and Camille were with us all these days) and had amazing food on board, drinks and a reef talk. We recommend it SO MUCH! Would come back.

  

• Best Snorkling Tour in Port Douglas

  Very enjoyable small group snorkeling tour to GBR! The crew, especially Nico and Canu, were great! Lunch and snacks were delicious. The brand new ship, Voyager was spectacular.
