This is a private tour for your group only. Aberdeenshire has many treasures to offer and we will take you on a tour to areas that are stunning and interesting.
A suggested itinerary depending on hotel location:
-Old Aberdeen - Fascinating medieval history
-Dunnottar Castle - one of the worlds' most iconic
-Crathes Castle - 16th century masterpiece & amazing gardens
-Lunch at nice restaurant
-Royal Lochnagar Distillery/Glen Garioch Distillery Tasting tour (included in the cost of the tour) or Balmoral Castle, if open to the public. Not both entrance fees are included.

Access to the castle interiors and Distillery Tasting Tours are subject to seasonal opening times. Access to most castles grounds is free, except Balmoral. Please contact us for details.
You must be over 18 to taste the whisky during the Distillery tour but younger people are welcome.

Dunnottar Castle
One of Scotland's and the worlds most spectacular castles, Dunnottar is a ruined medieval fortress located upon a rocky headland near Stonehaven. The surviving buildings date back to between the 13th and 16th centuries, but was originally fortified in the Early Middle Ages. You can enjoy this castle for free but an internal tour is chargeable. (£9.50 pp)
Crathes Castle, Garden & Estate
Fascinating 16th Century Castle with turrets, gargoyles, 16th-century painted ceilings and ancient, great yew hedges and walled gardens set in the magnificent surroundings of Royal Deeside. You can enjoy this castle for free but an internal tour is chargeable. (£14.50 pp)

5.00Malcom is the man! He's incredibly knowledgeable about Scottish history and takes time to share it as makes sense along the trip. We got so much done during this trip. It was a perfect introduction to Scotland and he even gave us tips where to find dinner and a wee drink after the tour as well. If you book one trip while in Scotland, book with Malcolm!

5.00We had a fantastic day with Malcolm visiting the castles and the distillery and learning about Aberdeenshire as we drove around. Malcolm was great to travel with. He was happy to stop whenever we needed a photo taken. We would not hesitate to spend a day with him again if ever we return to Aberdeen.

5.00Malcom just rocked. My wife and I do not drink so Malcolm adjusted the schedule so we could spend more times at various castles And he does photography as well so my wife was able to get some professional photos done as well

5.00Malcom was the best guide we could have asked for! He accommodated my request to go to a different castle than what was listed and was ever so kind. (He even got us some of his favorite Aberdeen comfort foods, which we loved!) Absolutely will be calling him up again when we next come out to Aberdeen.

5.00Worth the entry fee £7.0 on a nice day. Plenty of spots to shelter behind if is windy or rain. Fascinating look back in history. I'd have liked to have lived here too. All those years back the occupants would look out of the windows and admire the very same view as you. No mobile phones, not even thought of in their wildest dreams. It's an easy walk either from Southport along the footpath or from the nearby carpark. Great views of the cliffs, sea birds, and the ocean activity.
