  Thomas picked us up in a well air conditioned vehicle for a day of exploring Accra. We made stops at some of the most important places in the city. Thomas was very patient, polite, and went above and beyond to accommodate everyone . I will recommend this tour to all of my friends and family.

  First thing to say is that our driver and lead tour guide Thompson aka Mr T was fantastic, he was engaging, knowledgeable and flexible given we went on this tour with our 4 month old baby. The best bits of the tour were the bits that he led The downfall, however, was that he didn't lead the whole thing. When we went to different monuments, we had guides from those places take us around and the quality varied wildly, e.g we had a guide at the WEB Dubois museum who in the room dedicated to pan africanist leaders, could not explain what pan Africanism was. This tour structure led to going to lots of monuments and just having things pointed out to you, this is x, this is y without at any point a clear and overarching narrative of the history or story of Ghana ever being explained. This wasn't aided by the constant handing over from person to person as it meant often things were repeated as they did not know what the previous person had said, and no wholisitc narrative was built. The best portion of the tour was the Dr Kwame Nkrumah memorial Park which Mr T led. The tour could have been great if we had one person with us the whole time taking us through the all the stops, who could tell a story of the history of Ghana that runs through the monuments and leaves you with a clearer impression of the country. With that in mind, the order should be different too, we should start at the museum of Ghana, then W e B Dubois house, then independence square/gate then the markets and then finish at Dr Kwame Nkrumah memorial park.

  My wife and I enjoyed our experience with the Accra city tour. The variety of experiences was excellent, as was out tour guide. There were additional guides at the museums, who were also excellent and whose cost was included in the tour price. The van was comfortable. Our tour guide/driver was friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating to our interests. Well worth the price and a great way to see the highlights of Accra!

  This tour of Accra was excellent. My tour guide Mr. T was extremely knowledgeable, very professional and has a genuine love for Ghana and the people of Ghana. I would definitely recommend this tour.

  My father and I were on vacation and it was our first time in Ghana. We knew what we wanted to do but wasn't sure how. We decided to book the city tour with Expedition because it made the most sense to us. The tour was great and our guide was GREAT, I believe his name was Mike. We decided to book two additional tours with them. The second tour was in a small van, that my dad wasn't too crazy about being that he's claustrophobia. So that was the only thing that wasn't fun to deal with but the young lady that was in the front, was nice enough to let my dad ride in the front. They are great overall.

  The Accra City tour was outstanding! I really enjoyed it and learned so much. I will definitely recommend it. Our tour guide was awesome.

• A Great Introduction to Ghana

  This tour really only covers the part of Ghana’s history that you can understand from Accra city, but it shows how deep the culture and history of the country can go. It definitely helped that our guide, Emmanuel, was very knowledgeable about the city, including places that were not stops on this particular tour.

  Thomas was a great host. He was very friendly. We learned a lot about Ghanaian history throughout the tour. It was very interesting. I would definitely recommend this tour.

  Truly an incredible tour. Thomas was an amazing guide and even added time to stop for lunch even though it wasn’t technically scheduled in the tour itinerary. The air conditioning in the car between stops was a must. Not having to worry about handling entrance fees or asking for guides at each stop was also such a relief. He even offered to help us with buying things at Makola Market if we wanted since you have to negotiate prices and it’s so busy. He truly took care of everything and was so nice while doing it. Probably spent about 6 hours total around the city and it was so worth it. 100% would recommend, this tour is a great way to see the major sites in the city.
