National Museum of Ethiopia
Visit the National National Museum, which is said to be one of the most important museums in whole Sub-Saharian Africa. 3,2 million-years old bones of our grand grand .... ancestor - Lucy, are one of the most famous exhibits of their collection. The attention of visitors is drawn by a rich collection of insignia of emperor and churches, costumes, and weapons. The oldest exhibits are rock sculptures and inscriptions from the times of Queen Saba, found near Aksum and in today's Eritrea. Or visit the ethnographic museum, which is a next stop on our trip in Addis Abeba, is in the University. It was found and managed by Polish scientists, professor Stanisław Chojnacki. The most interesting part of the exhibition is a collection of crosses and icons. The museum should be visited by amateurs of folklore instruments, since the collection of them gathered in the museum is impressive.

5.00Alex the guide was friendly, spoke very good English and had deep knowledge about Ethiopian history. No questions remained unanswered. We talked about my preferences and then the tour route was slightly changed. Alex had different options to choose from and took me to the perfect spots according to my wishes. Addis the driver navigated smootly and was very friendly aswell. I felt perfectly safe during the whole tour. Highly recommended.

We had a full days tour of Addis with Eyayaw and we had an incredible insight and historical tour of the city. Eyayaw's knowledge of Ethiopias' history was remarkable, and we all felt so comfortable in his company. Eyayaw balanced our family's need so well - imparting historical details of the city and country, while ensuring our three young children (aged 10,9&7 yrs) were entertained as well.
