• Good experience to Valley of the Temples in Sicily

  This tour went exactly as planned and was on time for everything which is excellent for a long day such as this was. The driver and companion were friendly and competent. The vehicle was reasonably comfortable and our driver went out of his way to avoid potholes and various other obstructions and deserves credit for keeping us safe. Our tour companion was very friendly and accommodating for non-English folks on the mini bus. The guide at the Temple site was excellent.

  This tour is transportation ONLY to two sites. Roberto offers no information, no itinerary, no timeline & merely points in the direction you should walk. The highlight of the very long day was our local, knowledgeable guide at The Valley of the Temples. Overpriced tour for transportation only!

  It is a sneaker must, as there is a greater walking distance than I expected, stones sloshing about, and dirt roads. The gorgeous narrative mosaics were also very impressive, on a scale I had never seen before. It took me a day without a car, and I was able to comfortably visit two places that I could not go alone again. The number of participants was also moderately 12.3. The driver was driving safely, and the attendants had the best time to take a bathroom break or a meal break, just the right time, and were comfortable on the way, safe and comfortable with no unnecessary walking on site as soon as they got off. If you come to Palermo, this tour is definitely recommended.

  We wanted to see both the villa and the temples and this was the best way to do it. It is a long day and most of it is spent in a car but the car is nice. You also stop for breakfast and lunch which is great for it being such a long day. Staff were great but they are not the guide you get when you head into the temples.

  It is a very long day in a small bus on bumpy roads! You mainly pay for the transportation for the day. Agrigento, Valley of the Temples was beautiful, the guide would do better to not tell so many stories. The visit to Villa Romana to see the mosaics was amazing!! Pack a lunch, save time and $, at Villa Romana, leave more time to experience the mosaics. This tour would be so much better if the guide on the bus even gave a small bit of information/history of the areas that you drive through. Given our short time in Sicily, this was worth the day trip!

  This trip was extremely well organized, and was amongst our favorite things we did while in Sicily. The coordinator reached out the night before and guided us through all the practical aspects of the journey on the day of the trip. The visit to the villa Romana is self-guided, although there will be tour guides available for hire if you are so inclined. We opted to go through the villa on our own, and it was very impressive, While there we were able to grab a coffee & snack before visiting the site, and purchase a sandwich to eat on the bus later for lunch. A tour guide was included for the valley of Temples. It’s a two hour guided walk through the park and we learned so much … very interesting! I was worried about it being a long day, but it was fine. With no driving or navigating transit, it was extremely relaxing.

  As long as you are aware that this tour is transportation only, it is worth the trip. A little pricey for a small bus but the sites were fantastic. It was cool in the morning and the bus had no heat which was not ideal. Overall, the ride was comfortable and the sites were great.

  My wife and I did this day trip to Agrigento a couple of years ago and it’s still one of the highlights of our time in Sicily. The Valley of the Temples is really impressive in person, and having a guide made a big difference in understanding what we were looking at and the history behind it. The day was well organized and ran smoothly, and it felt like a good balance of guided explanation and time to walk around and take everything in. We never felt rushed, but we also covered a lot. The drive was comfortable and the whole trip felt easy and well planned. Overall, it was a great way to visit Agrigento without having to worry about logistics, and we’d definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to see the temples in a relaxed and informative way.

  We had an excellent experience from the beginning planning of our tour to the end. It was easy to negotiate what we wanted to see and how we wanted to travel and stay. We had several different drivers during our 2 week plus trip. All drivers were friendly, experienced, warm and informative. We loved Palermo at Easter and especially the agritourismo farms where we stayed. The Roman villa tour was the best ancient history presentation ever. It is a stunning site. Spring in Sicily is beautiful and not as hot or crowded as summer. Go for the history, the food, the architecture and the landscapes. We highly recommend TourofSicily - Goitalytours.
