In this tour we will visit the wonderful town of Alberobello (also known as the city of trulli) and Matera

Alberobello was named a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1996 because it is an exceptional example of building construction with prehistoric techniques that have survived intact and are still functioning in the modern world.

A "Trullo" is in fact a small limestone house, made with dry stone walls, roughly worked limestone blocks collected from nearby fields and topped with a conical roof.

Souvenir shops, B&Bs, bars and restaurants will brighten up your stay in Alberobello.

Matera is the city of the Sassi, the original urban nucleus, developed from natural caves dug into the rock and subsequently modeled into increasingly complex structures within two large natural amphitheatres that are the Sasso Caveoso and the Sasso Barisano.

The guides were friendly and helpful on arrival to the meeting point. Daniele our driver was super professional and a very safe driver.

One should not consider this a tour in anyway. It was rather a bus ride to two different towns. We did receive a brochure with very little information and a map that was impossible to read and relate to the towns involved. I guess that’s why it was relatively inexpensive, but we certainly deserved more.

Everything was flawless. The cheking before DE start, the trip EN micro, the impeccable driver!!! Arrivals and departures DE each stop. All ok!! No complaints!! Bus with air and very clean. DE ten!!!

Wonderful tour. I did the walking tour, with no guide in Alberobello and guided tour in Matera. I had the right amount of exploring time on my own for both towns. Alberobello is small, but easy to explore on your own. You cover almost all the must see spots. There were plenty of shops, places to eat & drink. Matera was incredible. I had a guided tour with 12 people. Pasquale was a great tour guide. You will see many areas, but be ready to walk quiet a bit. I would always advise to do some research before any tours to the towns.
