• Tour Guide: Lacked professionalism—more focused on personal anecdotes than sharing insights about San Francisco. Rushed the group and threatened to leave participants behind. • Muir Woods Stop: Worth visiting, though tickets were not included, leaving participants to either pay or wait in the parking lot for 90 minutes. The park itself was a highlight, with a stunning main loop and trails worth exploring. • Sausalito Lunch: Limited options due to timing, and again, the pressure not to be left behind overshadowed the experience. • Alcatraz Tour: Group ticket handling was disorganized. Instructions were unclear, making entry confusing. The guide rushed off after collecting tips. Final Recommendation: Muir Woods is absolutely worth a visit, ideally with more time to explore the trails fully. Alcatraz could benefit from better tour organization—perhaps an approach like Cork City Gaol in Ireland with an improved audio guide experience and faucily. Alcatraz has become more of a bird sanctuary than a historical exhibit, with minimal effort dedicated to preserving and presenting the full story of its infamous past. Overall, this particular tour seemed poorly structured for those wanting a thoughtful and efficient use of their time and money

This tour was a fantastic way to see several sites within one day without worrying about travel between! It was a good mixture of city and nature sites! We started off at Alcatraz and that was a fascinating experience. The audio tour is extremely well organized and well done. We also had some time to explore the island and were lucky to see the nesting season for many of the sea birds! (Early June timeframe) We saw baby cormorants, baby seagulls, baby white egrets, and then a few other types of sea birds. The flora and fauna on the island was also beautiful. Quite the juxtaposition against the eerie backdrop of the prison. The ferries were easy and left regularly. We left and got back to the pier with enough time to find lunch before the next part of the tour. The company picked us up in a black Mercedes sprinter van and off we went to the Muir Woods. Our tour guide was VERY engaging and had so many stories, jokes, and historical and area facts to share. It made the time traveling to and from Muir Woods/Sausalito/San Francisco very entertaining. The Muir Woods were absolutely breathtaking and beautiful. The trails were easy to walk and navigate and it was a good amount of time in the woods. Sausalito is a cute little sea side town but our favorite stops were the woods and Alcatraz. But that’s just our personal preference. Our guide was also very accommodating in helping us get to the area we had dinner plans to drop us off after the tour ended. 10/10 would recommend this tour to people visiting the area!

Boarding for Alcatraz and Alcatraz/tour was good. I felt we had enough time to relax and explore at our leisure. Pick up at pier 33 was prompt and easy. When we headed towards Muir Woods the driver was just rambling on and commenting on people around the area also telling bad taste jokes. Maybe even inappropriate. Once we arrived to woods I was unsure if the enterance fee was included and asked the driver and he was not very helpful and answered somewhat rude. No interest of helping. We get to the woods and left there to wonder around. I was under the impression that the tour would be through Muir Woods. So no tour there. We barely had enough time there and felt rushed. My friend and I sat separately on the way to Sausalito. When we got to Sausalito we had barely enough time to use bathroom and grab some ice cream. Not really worth the money spent.

We had Robert as a tour guide. The kids loved him! They said meeting him was the best part about San Francisco. He was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor.
