Driving time 15 minutes At Akslafjellet we have a walk on the Kari path to experience a fairy tale view. The walk is 50 meters. This is the most beautiful place you can dream of, and we pass several German bunkers from World War II. There is a lot of history here. Experience the beautiful view over Ålesund from Aksla mountain, By the view square you will experience the beautiful city everyone is fascinated by. Here you can see 360 degrees around. The weather is changing and it is just as beautiful in all kinds of weather. Here is as much as the eyes can see, from the surrounding islands, boats passing by. And the mountains that still have snow on the peaks. Alesund

Driving time 15 minutes Waldehuset was the only house in the eastern part of the town that did not burn down during the town fire on 23 January 1904. The entire town of Ålesund was on fire. Waldehuset was located in the middle of a large area with wooden houses, but was the only one that came unscathed from the flames. Come and hear the incredible story of the Miracle House in Aalesund

    There were only 10 of us on this small group tour with the owner/ tour guide. The luxury mini-van was immaculately maintained. The owner/ tour guide was an excellent driver and provided information about the history and background of the area. Unfortunately due to a vehicle fire, the undersea tunnel to the lighthouse was closed. We were offered the option to drive around the second island instead of waiting for an unknown number of hours for the tunnel to open. We enjoyed seeing the harvesting of hay during this sunny day, historic bridges, and a view of the nearby fjord instead. We recommend this small group tour with a local!

    Fantastic, thorough and leisurely small bus tour of the islands in and around Alesund. Loved seeing sites without the large tour groups. Our guide/driver was friendly, very knowledgeable and passionate about his part of the world! And, we were dropped off exactly on time, as promised, for our cruise ship! Highly recommended!!

    Our tour guide, Rolf, did a great job. Rolf came prepared with colored handouts of Aalesund and a well designed plan for our tour. Rolf has a lot of pride in his city and country and it showed with the information he shared. His van was perfect for a tour like this
