Pick you up from your hotel in Cairo, Travel to Alexandria. Start the tour with the library of Alexandria; the biggest library in the world – now with 8 million books. Visit President Sadat Museum and visit the open court where you can see the statue of Alexander the Great and the statue of Ptolemy the first, which was found underwater nearby. Our guide will explain the design of the library from outside, you will have a chance for some photo stops. Note: Alexandria library is closed on Fridays ,Saturdays & in public holidays. To enter the reading area you will need to purchase a ticket.

Great guide, unforgettable experience I’ll do it again. The trip from Cairo to Alexandria went smooth, I wish had more time in Alexandria .

My trip to Alexandria from Cairo was an enjoyable full-day experience. I was picked up early from my hotel and the driver (Omar I believe) was really nice. The guide Mohammed was very knowledgeable and took us to several interesting spots. To of the tour group members unfortunately got sick (from something they’d eaten the night before), but Mohammed was very attentive and even went with them to the pharmacy to get something.
Highly recommended!

We had a good day and the highlight was seeing the Catacombs. Our freelance guide Karim was ok but I didn't like the fact that he kept the tickets for our entrances to a few memorable places. I did eventually manage to get 1 set of tickets for the 3 places that were paid for on the day but 3 sets of tickets remained with Karim so he could claim back the expenses from the main tour operator. I personally feel that the main tour operator and the freelance tour guide (Karim in our case) should have more trust within themselves. Lunch was very nice and we had a good view. Overall the day was a good experience that we all enjoyed.

It was a whistle stop tour our guide was excellent a long ride from Cairo but worth it visited the catacombs which was the highlight also the church and mosque lunch ok but would be better if given a choice as not everyone likes fish

I booked a private car tour to ALEXANDRIA, but made to join a shared tour in a van with no options or time left. When complained, was told i would be given a free guide. Didnt expect this from TRIPADVISOR. i had to skip breakfast, rush up lunch, dropped very late....

We had an amazing day with Guide Waleed and driver Ahmet. Waleed’s knowledge of the city and history is amazing and he took his time to share stories and history. We learnt so much about the history of the city and was done at a pace we could enjoy. Would highly recommend Waleed as a guide and Ahmet as a patient and good driver. Thanks Richard and Len

I made the reservation for a guide in Spanish, only had English, they said that I would receive an audio guide at least to accompany, and nothing, not to mention that I paid the reservation with several entries and lunch included and at the time had nothing included I had to pay everything, terrible experience.

Our tour guide and driver took very good care of us…. Our group was good, tour guide knowledgeable with a sense of humor. It was overall a great trip to Alexandria. The main library was awesome!
