Come with us and taste the best snacks and tapas from Alicante! A real local experience.

Our proposal is having a gastronomic experience trying many typical products from our region, including fruits and vegetables brought directly from the orchard, meat from local farms, Mediterranean fish, as well as tasting cheeses and handmade sweets, all accompanied by typical drinks, both with alcohol and without alcohol. You will discover delicious aromas and flavors!

We will meet at the central market and visit 10 different food places, which some of them have more than 100 years old. You can get to know the most experienced sellers and talk about the history of each product and the tradition behind each of them. Meanwhile, you will discover the interesting history of the central market and its hidden places.

Booking this experience supports the small businesses, the local producers and the artisans that are still doing their work as it used to be done before.

Evening time: On tours starting at 18:00 the indoor market is shut so we will visit the stalls outside, and some authentic tapas bars.

Isaac was an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Tapas offered was varied and allowed me to try new foods in a friendly environment. Small groups so could easily ask questions. Throughly recommended and would do your again if return to Alicante in the future. Written guide given with recommendations for bars and restaurants very helpful too.

Isaac was a really fantastic guide. He is so enthusiastic and really enjoys his job. He really brought the market and all of its traders and foods to life of us. Highly recommended!!

This was a fantastic tour of the Alicante Mercado Central. Our tour guide, Isaac, provided thoughtful history of the building and the market along with the owners of the stalls that we visited. The choices of food and wine were excellent and well paced. One bit of advice to visitors for this tour when scheduled during the afternoon (12:30-14:30) -make purchases along the way (particularly at the stalls that you visit), because the market begins to close down at 14:00 or so (particularly the seafood and produce stalls) and you will need to visit the next day to make purchases. Isaac was especially friendly and knowledgeable. Would seek him out to guide other tours (actually ran into him at the Castle Santa Barbera guiding a group at that site).

Great, lots of funfacts and interesting knowhows, small pizes to eat and drink, tasted good. The guide Isak was a real dictinary. East to hear hiss explanaitions thou it was saturday (crowded)

Fran was a great guide. He gave us a two and a half hour experience, full of interesting stories and information. The variety of carefully chosen food and drink pairings were delicious.
