Following a scenic drive from Beijing, you'll reach the Mutianyu Great Wall. Your guide will offer an in - depth introduction to the historical significance of this section. Mutianyu, constructed during the Ming Dynasty, is renowned for its stunning scenery, with thick forests flanking the wall. It offers a more serene and less - crowded environment compared to other parts of the Great Wall.
Upon arriving at Mutianyu, our package offers two convenient options. You can choose a round - trip cable car ride, or take the chairlift up to the Great Wall and then slide down. Our day with Lucy (the history queen) and Mr. Song (the smoothest driver in Beijing) was absolute perfection. They were waiting for us early (huge win!) and from the moment we hopped in, it felt like traveling with friends. Lucy’s English is fantastic, and she didn’t just recite facts—she actually made Chinese history come alive. Plus, she has a secret talent: she’s a pro photographer! We walked away with a camera roll full of epic shots that actually look good. A few reasons why this tour rocked: • Zero Stress: We had all the time in the world to explore Mutianyu and the Tombs. No "hurry up and get on the bus" vibes here! • The Food: We were a bit nervous about our dietary needs and allergies, but Lucy handled it like a boss. 5.00Our tour guide, Ranee, was lovely. She was so knowledgeable about the Ming Tombs and the Great Wall. She also shared information about the countryside and the cultural differences between the countryside and the city. We had a great all you can eat lunch. Ranee suggested changing our itinerary around, so we visited the Ming Tombs first in the morning so that it wouldn't be as busy at the Great Wall, which was a great idea. We also visited a jade factory before lunch. We had originally chosen the ski lift and staboggan at Mutianyu Great Wall, but when we arrived, the queue was extremely long, approx. 1.5 hours in the extremely hot sun, so we changed to go in the cable cars instead as there was no queue at all. Ranee was great and accommodating as she changed our entry tickets to the cable cars instead whilst we got some shade and cool air. The great wall was amazing. The photos do not do it justice. We had a good laugh also with Ranee, especially on the cable cars. Fantastic memorable day.

5.00We had a 30 hour layover in Beijing and wanted to explore the area. We were recommended to do this tour and it was amazing! Lily was our tour guide and her knowledge was so vast, we learned so much from our little time in Beijing. We felt welcomed, comfortable and very safe doing this tour. We had Sun as our driver and he was really great. He let us keep all our luggage in the car whilst we explored. Already planning on coming back and booking another one!
Great Wall was amazing, chair lift up to the top and then toboggan down all added to the experience

5.00Bucket list ticked with this tour: Our guide, Alice Ji, was punctual, friendly and spoke perfect English. Alice also booked tickets for us to see a traditional Chinese Acrobatics show and even arranged transport to drop us back to our hotel Great service Alice!

5.00Fantastic day out, chair lift up to the wall and then an extended walk along the wall was a wonderful experience. Our guide, Alice Ji, gave great commentary in perfect English. Pick up was on time and car was very clean. Water, biscuits and fruit provided in car
