  I had a private, small group tour booked with Henry for late November 2021 for myself and a few others prior to a much longer organized tour of the area for the Christmas Markets. Sadly, due to the pandemic and shut downs in the region and our longer tour being canceled, I had to cancel our "pre-tour" day trip with Henry. Fortunately, we were able to reschedule for a year later, in late-November 2022. Henry organized and provided a lovely day exploring a few small towns outside of Heidelberg, wine tasting, enjoying a lovely lunch and visiting a Christmas Market while learning a little more about the region. He is laid-back, an easy conversationalist and made our first full day in Germany a pleasurable one. He also provided our transport from the airport (Frankfurt) to Heidelberg the day before when we arrived as well. Definitely recommend if you find yourself in Heidelberg!

  Henry is among the best guides we have ever had in all of our world travels. He was exceptionally knowledgeable and personable. We visited the best bakery in Heidelberg and several historical sites. Best of all, we avoided the larger tour groups and crowds!

  Our tour guide, Henry, went out of his way to accommodate our schedule and tailor the tour to our interests. We had a great time learning about the history and culture of a beautiful place.

  What a beautiful town and interesting tour. Our guide was very informative and flexible. He gave us information on the more famous sites but also some lesser known but fascinating areas of Heidelberg .

  Having lived in Heidelberg for over a decade, Henry is able to give visitors an inside view of the city, as well as surrounding areas and specialised interests such as wine. He shows you a different side, as well as the main sites if you wish. A very interesting person to spend time with, I can recommend him!

  The tour was easy to book at a time we wanted. Henry knows a lot about Heidelberg and told us a about the history of the town. We walked trough the town and also trough the nature part of Heidelberg. The view was great for pictures. Henry is an amazing guide, he adjusts the tour (and information) to our interests which is great!

  Traveling with my partner over the New Year, he injured his feet, limiting accessibility for him. We spoke with Henry about alternative trips that we could both enjoy. Henry had great ideas. He picked us up at our hotel (the amazing Zum Ritter) and away we went to the Heiligenberg Forest where we visited ancient fortifications overlooking the Neckar River and then to the 15,000 seat amphitheatre built into the hills by the Nazis. Built here because it was close to the University and was used as a place to recruit students. Towering over that the Celtic monastery. Then off to the 12th century Dilsberg Castle and the romantic winding streets of Neckargemund. Altogether we had three encounters with Henry and this day was the highlight of our trip.

  We booked Henry for a special tour of Speyer and Mannheim. He knew exactly where to take us and found the venues we most wanted to see. He bonded with our family and enriched our special holiday with his knowledge of the area. He even introduced us to the home grounds of the fabled Mannheim storks! Thank you Henry!!
