Meeting of Waters
At 8am you will be transferred from the hotel to the Ceasa port. There a speed-boat is used to take the group to the meeting of the waters (the point where the Negro river and the Solimões River meet). From there the group is taken to the village of Careiro da vazea on the other side of the river. The entire Boat-ride takes about 40 minutes. At Careiro da vazea the journey continues by car for about 50 minutes to the River Paraná do Mamori. From there the last part of the journey is by speed-boat for about 45 minutes reaching the lodge around at 11:30am
At 2:30pm the activities begin, the group leaves by motorized boat to the camping place for the next few days, there you will set up camp and prepare yourselves to go Cayman spotting during the night.

At 5:30am a canoe trip is done to watch the sunrise and to get a close-up view of the forest waking up to a new day. At 7am breakfast is served and then at 8am a jungle walk starts and finishes at 11:30am. During the walk, the guide explains valuable information about the forest. Much is learned about medicinal plants, spiders, trees and there is even a chance of seeing monkeys. The afternoon activity starts at 3pm. It is canoeing in the flooded forest and in the small channels. It is a great opportunity to see and learn about the flora and fauna of this fantastic Amazon jungle and also go fishing for some piranhas.

from 08am to 11am a visit is made to a local family house to learn about their simple and fantastic way of living in the forest. Then back to the lodge for lunch and relaxing whilst admiring the sounds of the jungle before returning back to the lodge for lunch .
At 01:30pm is the departure time back to Manaus and you will arrive at approximately 04:30pm

5.00Kayak tour 3D/2N in May 2026. Fantastic experience with very knowledgeable guides. We enjoyed an unforgettable kayak trip through the inundated rain forest. The organization was excellent, and we can highly recommend the tour. Just be aware that being in decent physical shape and not minding being wet for a couple of days helps. 🙂 Would do it again without question.

5.00We had the best experience with Joshua's Amazon Tours. Easy and simple communication, very good organization. Everything worked out perfectly, we did not have to think about anything. On our trip we had a lot of fun with Jungle Boy and Gustavo. They made sure every step of the way that we are comfortable, feel safe and are having fun. The programm is adaptable to your own needs & you would have the possibility to leave at any moment if you want to get out. We learned a lot from Jungle Boy who grew up in the Jungle. He can spot tiny animals from far away on a speedboat, which is impressive. Also we enjoyed beautiful star skyes that we could watch from our hammock at night. We highly recommend the experience and would do it again!

5.00Beautiful experience. Lodge Tapiri and its owners welcomed us with kindness and availability. What about long and wide tours of the Rio Negro waters? Simply breathtaking, also thanks to the native guides and especially to our guide Kendrick "Jungle boy". Incredible adventure!

5.00All aspects were coordinated perfectly. We had both a naturalist who translated and an amazing local guide. Both were personable and invested in our safety. We wanted a trip that was challenging but safe. JAE delivered in every aspect.
